Im having the same issue with mine. Ahmed is already helping me. But I really need to figure out what the problem is. I a going to look over the whole car today. The first time it happen, I cleared the code and went for a 500+ miles drive with highway driving and spirited driving at WOT and regular acceleration with no issue. This morning, however, was a total nightmare. Got the reduced engine and code after driving for 15 miles. Cleared the codes. got back on the road and got code about 1 mile later. got to my final destination. re-calibrated. parked for an hr. drove another 3 miles. parked again for about 5 mins. Went to drive off and then code is back on. Recalibrated and drove for about 5 miles. no code. Waiting for the commute home to see what happens.

Mine went for 3 months without problems then I got codes.
Tried various fixes ( not using SP9, new battery ) and have had periods of months without problems but now I am getting a code after driving a mile. It's been remarkable how it happens at the one mile mark. After turning the car off for a minute I'm ok again.

I reconnected everything, added some dielectric grease, check throttle body connector, added dielectric grease and recalibrated controller once more. I've had my controller for couple of years now with no issues until now.

Hate to bring an old thread back to life, but i'm having the same issues. This is the 4th time and after calibrating, the problem still persist. Funny thing is that it only happens when it's really hot and it have the top off and mine is located in the armrest where it's incredibly hot and where my iPhone overheats all the time. I'm going to relocate it to another spot, but i will also disconnect it to make sure there's not an issue with my car. Any chance that this is a heat issue?

I tried to re calibrate it several times and cannot get full throttle, this all I get, I've attached a video in the link below. I've disconnected it and will return it.

The unit does not like heat. What exactly do you have in the armrest? Just the controller? As I understand it, that's not the heat sensitive part. The "brains" of the Vitesse does not have long enough wires to be stored in the armrest, if I'm not mistaken.

Unless your wire is significantly longer than mine, it will not reach the armrest. This is the part that is heat sensitive. Not the remote (the piece with the **** or buttons, depending on which version you have).

I have a C7 and the remote with the **** was in my armrest which seems to be most popular with most C7 owners who have this and the actual unit it self was hidden in the carpet upwards on the right of the throttle pedal itself. I have these(Sprint Booster) in all my cars SRT8, NISMO, M3 and have never had an issue like this before.

Love this unit, and what it DID (past tense)...but I’ve used it on two separate Z06s and it’s thrown codes multiple times on both and put the vehicle into limp mode a few times each (the dealer even replaced the accelerator pedal on each vehicle ). I’ve recalibrated multiple times but seeing same issues on two vehicles (which ironically was a contributing factor to me trading into my second Z) I’ve lost faith in this unit. Shame as it was amazing while it worked. Contacted Vitesse and offered a small discount on replacement unit. No thanks.

Default Trash!!!

This unit is trash, this thing threw my car into limp mode 4 times before I was finally done with it, I posted a video and everything on this and it’s faulty control unit. Got no support from customer service and haven’t heard a peep from them on this forum since I made my complaint. I have Sprint Booster now and should’ve went this route in the first place and it’s great, a much better unit than the Vitesse garbage with more features as well. I hope you all browse through these threads before buying anything from Vitesse cause I would hate to had been in a rush or need the power of my car to avoid an accident and this **** happened because of a cheap poorly made product.

I bought one , installed it, almost drove through a bank lobby.. They said it was not their problem. Junk is a compliment.

Sounds like the two of you have your minds made up about this unit. Give them a chance to help you. Many members have this and have no problem at all. Talk to them.

Noting to really talk about, I gave them the option to help me and they didn’t. I’m not bashing them, I’m just simply stating the facts that I and many more owners have had using this product. This thing cripples your car and there’s absolutely nothing good about that.

Oh boy , oh boy , I really miss you Chuck .....lol
The biggest advantage to a Vitesse or a Pedal Commander is huge range of adjustability not just one or two settings that you can provide in the tune , settings that the user if they had experienced the adjustability might not like ..

Now the reports of bad units are few and far between considering how long they both have been around and they have sold 1,000's as it not only fits Corvettes it fits many different makes of cars but its electronics and some go bad .

I had one in my C6 and now my C7 and would not be without it
All my friends have one for the same reasons as I do

Now before I get hammered with posts , I DO NOT AGREE WITH HOW Vitessse is handling the folks that are having a problem . THESE BAD UNITS should be replaced no ifs and or buts....... but it does not seem like the case anymore

There was a time when Vitesse would answer these posts about faulty units , making sure that the unit was calibrated correctly etc and if it was bad offer to replace it

I dont see this type of help from them anymore.....and it's sad as it will eventually catch up to them

Dave

I would like to thank the person that brought this to our attention.

We are here to assist ANYONE that has ANY issue with our controllers. Feel free to call us or email with the details...

Yes, we've sold 1000's and very few have issues, maybe 2 or 3 in 1000 units sold !

That is why we offer a warranty on the controller.

We will always stand behind our products.

Thank you

Bob

I've had one installed for 5+ years and have had 2 instances of reduced power/limp mode. They were both related to the connection at the throttle. It has to be FULLY engaged, and I'm pretty sure both times I pulled it loose accidentally with my size 13s exiting the car. I unplugged and replugged the assembly tightly and no problem. The last time it happened I went ahead and used a zip tie to make sure the connection stays tight even if I manage to catch it with my feet. Although I wasn't happy with the 2 limp mode events, I remain pleased with the product overall. I prefer the #3 sport setting for normal driving - eliminates the factory lag, but isn't over aggressive either.
