Default Help!!

I was trying to replace my clutch spring and the pedal suddenly just dropped. Nothing, no resistance....doesnt look like anything under the dash came off..2008 Z06

yes, I pushed the pedal down..it slipped out of my hand and that was it

You might have awkwardly experienced the common failure of the clutch master cylinder. There is a limited recall for this common problem, 10 years from date in service or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first. So your '08 is on the thin line, maybe. Suggest you check with your favorite dealer service and ask, if your car is anywhere close to being out of this special coverage period. Even if out by a little bit, they might be able to "good will" the repair for you.

I replaced the clutch master cylinder. All's good now. Bought the parts from Chevy.

It is still under warranty until 07/18/18. I just did it myself. Thanks for the heads up.
