I'd say this was probably flooded to the top of the seat bottoms, eh ?

Looks like the salinity of the water was high, I purchased a few vehicles from fresh to salt water floods. For the right price I would buy if I was in the market. Here is a past thread of two flooded c6's I purchased.

I'm on the fence. It has 10k miles but salt water damage bcm was fried. Won't crank with a replacement used bcm but it's not programmed tonthe car. He wants 11k.
It could be a good deal that only needs a few grand in work or it could be something that has Gremlins forever.

If I recall a used bcm should allow it to run as is, I remember having to input the different options Trim Levels: 1LT vs. 2LT vs. 3LT when programing the bcm. Myself with the amount of corrosion just in the single pic you posted I would pass @ 11k. What year and options.
I wanted to add this, anything on the dash light up, the starter probably locked. Water in engine or trans?

It's a six-speed 2007. Regular cube. Nothing special.
He said he rotated the engine by hand, but it would not crank when he turned the key with the new BCM. It could be that it needs to be paired or it could be bad connectors or it could be a bad starter or a million other things. He does not think any water got in the engine or the differential, but who knows.
My concern is how many other electronic components could have got submerged. I'm not that familiar with c6s so I'm not sure where all the electronics are in relation to how high the water line got on that thing.
There's also the question of whether or not water got into the exhaust and then what happened.

Any chance you can let us all know what software you used to program/change the BCM? Please...

Was going to use a GM Tech 2 knockoff I got that but it only powered on two times. The VXDIAG VCX Nano was new in the market at that time and cheaper than the GM Tech 2. so I ordered one and used it to program the bcm. Good read here
Pull the oil dipstick and see if it looks milky and that would tell you if water enter the engine. You could also pull the plugs to see if will turnover and if any oil/water comes out. If either of those condistions exist punt.
