Nitrous on C7

I installed NGK 6510 spark plugs and the nitrous kit the way it came, the only thing I have added so far is a gauge to the bottle. I plan to add a window switch for added safety because I'm worried about hitting the limiter if I blow the tires off and I don't want a backfire to crack my intake manifold or anything. I also ran some Torco Acclerator just to be safe, it brings 10 gallons of 93 up to 104 octane.
I tried the 50 shot jets first to make sure everything was working right, the power increase was smooth and a little understated. It wasn't a huge rush as I am used to with nitrous. The fact that I have no purge solenoid brings the nitrous in a little easier so that's probably part of it.
I tried the 50 and100 shot jets at the drag strip today, it was 91 degrees and humid. My best time at this track in cool air was 11.90 @ 117.6 so I imagine in the heat today it would have been about 12.1 or 12.2 @ 116. On the 50 shot jets I ran 11.78 @ 119.5 on the first pass, which I assume was a little worse because of no purge. I launched easy and pulled a 1.89 60'. I also didn't activate the nitrous until 2nd gear. I think if I made a second pass on the 50 shot it would have picked up some but I bumped it up to 100 for the next two passes.
The 100 shot felt totally different, it was a big rush and felt like a lot more power, night and day from stock or the 50. The next pass was 11.48 @ 125.6, but the bottle was cooling off and I didn't wire up my heater yet. Pressure was just under 900 psi. I figured being 90 some degrees out I wouldn't need a heater but I was wrong. I let the bottle sit in the sun but the highest it got was 950 psi. That pass was 11.26 @ 128, the time slip printer messed up so I don't know my 60'. I left a little harder I would guess about a 1.80.
Nitrous express kits are designed to operate at 1050 psi so I think it would have picked up a little with a fully warm bottle. I don't have a tune on the car so stock timing and all. Best I can tell I picked up about 10-12 mph on 100 shot, which I think is great. I'm pretty sure with a warm bottle and cool air I could touch 130 mph and 10's with a good launch. Not bad for a car with one mod lol.
I will eventually try the 150 shot but I'll need to pull a degree or two of timing for that so it'll be down the road.

I may not go with a purge, I feel like on the 100 shot it comes in nicely and doesn't knock the tires off.

And I have no doubt you'll be faster, the only thing I'll really be able to do to improve is run in better air with a warmer bottle, then step up to the 150 shot. That still won't be enough for a blower car with headers and meth, but it'll be enough for me

Houston has A LOT of concrete.

Do those cars share brake and clutch fluid or are they separate systems? My mustang it was shared.

The people who mess things up with nitrous don't follow basic rules, they get too greedy with the jets and/or don't pull enough timing usually. Nitrous is the only power adder that lowers IAT's rather than raising them, and it doesn't put added strain on the rotating assembly like spinning a supercharger does. Not to mention it doesn't add nearly as much weight, blower kits usually add ~100 lbs on the front end (worst place) of the car.
I'm not saying blowers are bad, I'm just saying that nitrous is the best bang for the buck and has some of its own advantages.

If the ECU cut fuel the engine would be breaking up, regardless if the nitrous/fuel were still flowing. It would also lean out up top.
"Shut her down before you rev too much" isn't going to work. By the time you could even hear the rev limiter you could have a backfire. I've done it, it can happen instantly.
The window switch prevents you from activating the nitrous and rev limiter at the same time, which can result in catastrophic failure.
