The C6 headlights caused the same reaction, and in-spite of the ugly head lights they sold a lot of C6's. As for the whine about 427's take it to the forum that deals with that and leave the C7 guys enjoy their pages.
The negative people, now referred to as haters, will always be with us. I have found them to be happy only when they are complaining. It gets worse as they get older. If you like Vipers and Porsches go to their forms nobody GAF here about you or your love of those other cars.
You just bring them up to stir the pot. If we wanted to buy those cars we would. If we wanted to read about them we would go to their pages.
I am a Corvette person from the beginning. I love them. The new Corvette is going to turn heads. It is sleek and aerodynamic. It will be fast. It will be fast enough to run with every Vet made except a ZL1.. Your C6's are great cars. If you love them keep them. They are no longer in the front row so get over it.

Happy motoring...
Great post Bill .

I agree but both the grills are questionable if you ask me. I don't like giant protruding grills.

I take it you meant "Stock" Vettes......there will be plenty of Vettes that eat C7's for lunch. 450ish hp is mediocre by todays standards. So let's hope there will be real power down the line in a couple of years.

I doubt there will be "plenty". If this car is projected to have +450hp and weigh 3000lbs then you will need come with Z06 or better performance. Even still the 450hp number is probably low.. I'm guessing the car will come with 480, possibly 500hp from the base model.

And I strongly believe this for two reasons:
1) VVT & DI upgrades commonly yield about a 15% gain in power. The 450hp number you see on the LT1 announcement is probably for truck/sedan purposes.
2) The C5Z06 had 405hp, the C6 that followed it came with 400hp. Is it really that surprising if the C6Z06 currently has 505hp, and the C7 that follows it comes with 500hp?

I think you're going to have alot of people jump ON to the C7 fence, come 01/13/13.

And the C7Zxx thats expected to come in 2 years later. Im guessing supercharged LT1 (aka LT4) with around 700hp.

Again from the same line of thought:
1) If the LS3 puts out 430hp.. then supercharging it (aka LS9) gives 638hp (+200hp).
2) If the LT1 does put out 500hp.. then supercharging it would give 700hp (+200hp).
