Default Reality

You can tell we are in a current void of new info on the C7.

The threads have degraded into repetitive comments pro and con with no real no new info.

The reality is the car is as you have seen it.

No one in the big wide real world outside of our cloistered Internet world really cares about my opinion or your opinions although by definition that is the purpose of these forums.

Lets accept that many of you hate it and will never buy. Why torture yourself having to look at something so disgusting and have to constantly be reminded by it by coming back here? Don't get me wrong that is clearly your right. But, I don't spend any time on the Viper boards convincing them their car sucks. I have better things to do.

As well, myself included, don't really need to say for the millionth time how great it is. It gets as boring as the preschoolers saying " no you didn't..." " yes you did" back and forth for an hour.

Can we rise above that and discuss practical and technical things?

I am not going to change anyone's mind to rush out and buy it.

And the people who honestly hate it won't convince anyone not to buy it.

So we end up in a vicious cycle, fool's game of waste.

GM will not fail even with moderate corvette sales.

GM could give a rat's butt what we talk about on here. There is no fantasy end around coming with a last minute change to what any of us want..... Maybe a trip to the Disney/ Chevy design studio can ease the pain of you designing exactly what you want.

The world will not end if 60% of current C6 drivers don't buy it.

There will be more than enough people who say yes and will buy it.

By the way, Nikki Minaj's butt is disgusting.

No it isn't

Yes it is

No it isn't

Yes it is
No it isn't

Yes it is

No it isn't

Yes it is
No it isn't

Yes it is

No it isn't

You've probably been asked this in other threads but I haven't seen it so I'll ask again? Have you seen the car in person. It is just to hard for me to get how nice this vehicle is in 2 dimensions. Some of the 3D cad images I've seen help. They have brought me to about 75% of what my actual reaction will be when I see the car on MacMulkins' showroom floor. So until then I'll reserve judgement.

Keeks...great car collection (other thread) and great post.

I disagree on one point: I DO think GM give's a "rat's butt" about what we talk about on here....it's great comedy relief for them at the end of a hard day. I can just see them pulling the bottle of Jack out off the desk drawer and sitting to back to bust a gut laughing at the myriad of stupid comments. This forum is often a train wreck. Some people have Honey Boo Boo....they have us.....now that's "reality."

My view is this - I'm reserving final judgment until I see it in person. my plan IS to purchase one probably in the 2nd or 3rd year of production. This is change - and many people (especially old farts) don't like change. I'd bet a fair amount that many of the "haters" will still get one once they come to grips with change. I love the rear of the C6 and would prefer something different than what we've seen - but that one aspect wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Look at it this way - the C6 interior has always been the most inferior part of the vehicle yet it didn't deter most from purchasing one.

For argument's sake does it really matter?

Not trying to be evasive.

You already know the answer. Search for all my posts. The answer is there.

When I retired from the NHL I became a 2nd grade teacher. We lead the student's to the answer, we don't give them the answer...ha!

besides the freshened up look...at least for corvette, I like the stance better and am sure the performance will be outstanding, especially for a near supercar/exotic that is affordable (mostly,at least much more than others in the performance arena that C7 will compete...and it's an every day driver,

If they get the quality and feel right inside and out we will have a daily driver exotic supercar with great gas mileage.!

It's funny because all of the people complaining about the rear end of the C7 feel exactly how I felt about the front end of the C6 upon seeing it for the first time. I can't say I'm particularly happy about how the C7 rear looks in the renderings, but I'm hoping it will be a little more appealing in person(especially if the base model doesn't have that black Groucho Marx eyebrows rear spoiler).

BULL**** Your not being evasive

You make a comment regarding the LT4 and mention the ZL1 and are so veiled we spent 5 days speculating on what you meant when discussing them in the same sentence on Camaro 5. Additionally since you seem to have credible information your opinion was taken seriously enough to have an entire article written on GM Authority mentioning you said that the LT4 would be included in the ZL1.

When I questioned you about it you state "You can't remember it's been awhile"...

If there were word in the dictionary for being evasive and attention whoring in the same breathe it would be spelled Keeks.

Thanks for the info on the C7 way to not clear up your statements on the Camaro though

Guilty....

In one of my previous posts I specifically indicated what I learned and how it occurred. I have posted everything I know.

If I haven't posted it I don't know.

Once you read them all then ask away what you want. If you are too lazy to read them I can't help you.

It is really simple. Select advanced search and then select posts by user. Then pump in my user name.

I also never throw something out there if I don't know.

I have had 18,000 people and half a million on TV give me attention when I played in the NHL so my need for attention is minimal especially in relative anonymity from 99.9 % of people I will never meet.

You will have to wait until jan.13 to see how accurate I was or not.

On Jan. 14, I will fade back into Internet oblivion nothing gained, nothing lost.

I have no doubt you were accurate about the actual vehicle itself that's why I take your opinion seriously. However with that said the question I am asking has absolutely nothing to do with the C7 Base Model or its performance variant.

It's regarding the comments you made regarding the LT4 engine which could or could have not been construed as you saying that it will be included in the ZL1 Camaro.

As I said we spent 5 days speculating and it was a very veiled comment. Many people went back and forth on what you specifically meant when mentioning the vehicle in the same breathe as the LT4 Engine.

In the time you spent bringing up your NHL Career for the 15th time this month on this forum you could have cleared up your comments regarding the engine and if you received intel that would suggest its inclusion within the ZL1 as well as the Performance Variant Corvette you clearly stated it would be included in with its CAD file attached in your posts.

So here I am asking you right now. Did you hear anything about it being included in the ZL1 Camaro as well as the Corvette you stated would house the engine or not?

It's a fairly simple clarification to ask for.

I dig the technical aspects of what we think we know about the c7 and I dig the looks too...

Seems kind of strange that you dislike both positive and negative comments in various threads. What would be expected..?

Anyways if you have any insight on the first year automatic transmission. Take a guess.... 8 speed or 6 speed automatic?

Any performance difference expected between the two Automatic choices or will it just be fuel efficiency?

I'd like to say thanks for sharing your insights however it came to be

I still lament the fact there is no dual clutch automatic....LOL
