First Poll Do you Like it ?
Can't face up to the math, even when it is staring them in the face.
Get over it... if you don't like it, leave. Don't bag on it, just leave it be and move along to whatever suits your fancy.
Funny (sad) how it is the moral minority that is the vocal point here.
This is disturbing.
Good design should be immediate and invoke a positive response from a significant majority of the loyalist as well as those inquiring to see what it's all about.
But if you add up the responses that represent hesitancy, tentativeness, uncertainty to outright rejection [across a number of polls] you come up with about a 42-48% ambivalence rate. Interestingly the overall expected change in perception based on the sampling has not reduced the level of ambivalence over time and may be actually growing. It’s still early on but there should be signs of movement in a more positive direction at this juncture. Given the 80/20 rule as applied to design it appears that there is an issue in the styling expression and GM would be smart to keep a focused eye on this in order to make adjustments as soon as possible.
Ambivalent or negative responses for this particular thread represent:
• I need to see it in person first
• I hope it grows on me
• They could have done better
• They ruined the Corvette
The interesting thing I have come to better understand after talking to a number of corvette owners is that with the C7 there are more than two or three things most potential buyers would consider immediately changing as opposed to the C6 where there was mainly one maybe two that they would change over time. This is separate from modifying your vette for personalization
Just an observation….

PEOPLE who like it is 551
They ruined the corvette 75
They could have done better 126
Hope it grows on me 106
The last 3 are negative to the corvette .
add those 3 up = 307
thats over half that dont like it .
Its safe to say the new vette didn't go over that well .

I was hoping Gm would have come up with a real nice corvette design .

I thought the same thing and I still do not like them, they need to be gone in 2015.

Guys, I kinda like the C7. I might own one. Not a 2014 as they are likely to have some bugs, but down the road I might purchase one.
However, the total lack of reason, logic, or maturity among the most passionate C7 cheerleaders make me not want to be associated with them.
One, their posts are often illogical. Two, if someone critizes the C7, they are attacked. No dissent or free debate is tolerated by a number of them. I thought most of us are on here because we like Corvettes? Yet, the most rabid C7 supporters are trying to start a civil war among our ranks. They refer to anyone as haters that dare point out something critical about the C7, yet they heap hate on those members. Who is the real hater?Their attitude is starting to erode my positive feelings for the car itself. I am trying hard to separate how I feel about the car, and how I perceive the most ardent of the C7 fan club.

Silly angry bickering about which kind of Corvette is best gets to be pretty boring and makes me want to leave this forum. Especially when not one member of this forum has ever driven the C7 and very few have ever seen it in person.

Very well said.

photo of original Aztek., Not everyone hated it but enough vocal people made GM run back to the drawing board.

Second version of the Aztek. Toned down without the crappy black cladding. But the first impression made it impossible for GM to overcome the negative first impression.

Compare to the Buick version of the same vehicle. Traditional styling and still in production, unlike the Aztek.

Reminds me of the current droopy pants styling geared for the younger folks. Ain't no way this 70 year old is going to wear his pants below his ***. You want to sell me a new set of clothes, design them for for me, not some young kid's fad.
