Too much black?

Get those huge UGLY Black wheels off the red car and maybe you will not notice how much black paint is on that car. The big ugly black wheels are an attempt to woo street racer wanna bes. Do not pay for those slugs, just do not clean the brake dust off the standard wheels and you have got the look cheap.

I've seen the car in person. That black lower valence is much smaller in the flesh than the photos depict. You can't tell with the photos but it rolls under the rear of the car and isn't as flat as it looks in the pictures. When you see it first hand, much of what you see in pictures dissaears under the car. I'm 5' 6" tall (more like short) and I think the top of it was well below my knee and at mid calf. Then again, the rear deck of the car is lower than photos depict too. I suppose on the red car it might stand out but not much more than the rear valance on the C6.

I've never been a fan of black wheels yet IMO the black wheels on the c7 look good....as do the black vents...otherwise the vert is a bit too close to the c6 vert

Gold chains? That is funny..dirty Azzzzz black rims are not funny just ugly. They sold less then 5% of the C6's with black rims. I guess there are a whole bunch of men and women flashing their gold chains and good taste..without painted rims.

All three of the roof options are fabricated from light weight materials. Either carbon fiber for the exposed carbon fiber/painted roof or polycarbonate for the clear roof. No heavy SMC used on the C7 roof.

The baddest cars on the planet are shodding black wheels, grab a copy of the Dupont Registry. Only cars in there with chrome wheels are 4 door Benz. Once again GM wants younger buyers and younger buyers want Black.

Black, silver, gunmetal, or raw/polished aluminum are the only acceptable finishes for me on any sports car.

From the pics I've seen, it looks like the vents and side trim pieces are done in carbon flash like the rear diffuser. Perhaps one of you folks that have had the pleasure to see it in real life can confirm? That said, I don't know how much of a difference it would make to the appearance on a lighter colored car.
From what I understand, the roof panel on the base 1lt is body colored. Then if you want the exposed carbon fiber or clear roof, there is an upcharge.
If those trim pieces were indeed something like carbon flash, I could probably live with that. But if I ran a dealership, I would offer to have my body shop color match these pieces for you, not for free though
