Me too. I'm not just going to laugh though. I'm likely going to belittle them too. I know it's all personal taste and opinion and blah blah, but to me it's like having this guy:

It just looks stupid.

ooohhh man that closed front end XD
No kidding. Remember the cries of foul when headlights went stationary?

Good lord, I never heard so many babies complain about things we're loving now.

Right, because it was the tail lights this whole time that made a Corvette look like a Corvette.

Not what I said at all. The pic is from 3/4 rear. From the back round tail lights where a pretty significant design element. I really like the rest of the C7, a lot, but the back end is too busy and over designed to me.

A good point was made about the new Viper how it does not share it's tail light design with either the Charger or Challenger, while both of those are good looking cars a single horizontal tail light across the rear would be ugly and out of place on the Viper. In fact Chrysler group was smart and broke off the Viper completely from Dodge to further differentiate it into it's own brand. The Corvette needs to separate itself from the rest of Chevy designs, not have similar tail lights to a Malibu and Camaro.

The round tail lights are also strong Design element on Ferrari and they have always found a way of keeping it fresh and new while still keeping to a design tradition. They aren't going to try to incorporate the design from the Fiat 500 into any Ferrari car any time soon.

Default It's not the taillights , It's the lower panel.

Some of you guys are confused. It's not the taillights that makes the new C7 ugly , it's the cheap plastic panel with all of it's indentations and the four exhaust pipes so close together . The overdone plastic panel is what is making it look so busy. Picture it with a smooth panel and I think you will start liking the rear view. Now I don't know what you can do about the aweful roof style except just make all Corvettes convertibles. The roof style looks like a cross between a Rambler Marlin and a Datzun Z. They need to just throw out the whole project and start over , but I guess it's too late for that.

That retro-Vette part would look less ill-fitting with squaround C4 taillights.

Is it really me that needs the glasses or maybe , just maybe it could be you . I just say if you like it , buy it. For me I will never own a car that i see as ugly overall . We will see what the opinions are when the newness wears off. That is the true test of a classic.

the round tail lights everyone lusts for don't really look that great

but at least the option is out there for people who like it. one of the nice things about the vette is going with custom designed panels and body kits that make the car look different and to your liking

unfortunately most don't improve on the GM design much. as long as that gal stands behind the vette, the rear end wont look bad at all!!!

I'm sure you know the the only wide part of a wide body C6 is the flare over the wheel wells. The rest of the car is the same dimension as a base C6.

It will sell at a rate that far exceeds the sales of the c6. It's a look that many people are comparing to the f12 berlinetta. Which is viewed as one of the most beautiful cars in existence . There is no maybe about me needing glasses. This is now a world car. All age groups are liking it for the first time in years.

They said Obama wouldn't win again too. World car, oh yeah sure it
is, hummmmm. You c7 lovers better be ready to eat crow.
Us wait and see folks, know positive statements, usually fall flat.
It is not the first time in years all age groups have liked a corvette.
You just want the C7 to be the second coming, have to wait and see.

Now why would you want to ruin the rear end of C6 by putting the ugly rear end of a C7 on it?

If anything, when will they make a kit to slap on a C6 rear end on the back of a C7?

Not hating on the C7, think its a great car , but everything about the rear end on the C7 looks like crap!
