I think this is a bit ridiculous to say. They have already been informed by Chevrolet that they have an allocation of 507 cars in the first 6-9 months. Since they don't know the exact timeframe of when the cars will be delivered (NOBODY KNOWS THIS), then I think it makes sense for them to have terms that at least outline a worst-case scenario.
I was impressed by my visit to Kerbeck, and I'd recommend that the people here who are complaining about them not returning an e-mail or call should drive over there if they want immediate service. I hopped in my car Saturday morning and drove two hours to get there -- and my order was wrapped up in about 30 minutes. You can either go there and not wait for service, or you can call or e-mail and wait behind HUNDREDS of people in line in front of you for service. Your choice, but complaining about it is not helpful to anyone.
I can't drive 2 hours down the road since I live in Denver. I understand many people on CF always say buy from a forum dealer, but when I've called 6 times with no answer and left messages since Fiday with no reply I do start to wonder about the dealership. If I can't get a call back to buy the car, what will happen if there are issues during the sale? Not trying to be negative , but that thought comes up. I do understand that they are really busy, but I'm still concerned.

this pre order list stuff is not the first time it has happened on corvettes. I know it was like this on my 06 z06. I'm just wondering if any one has had the problem of getting their deposit back or a delivery issue when the car came in with Kerbeck ? I don't remember reading many complaints on kerbecks
Well, I haven't read through this post but I've been told I've been getting hammered!
We are responding to hundreds of email and phone messages. There's only 3 managers handling this and we are giving everyone the attention that they deserve so It's going to take time to get through them all so please be patient.
Oh, and don't expect to see me back on this post anytime soon, I've got people to talk to!

Your a great company and a friend to the Forum. It is, in my opinion, a bad decision to wait as long as you did while other dealers were taking deposits. The end result of that is the over load you have now. It would have been simple to start a list because you knew at some point orders would be placed.
I placed an deposit in January with a top three dealer after I went to your web sight and saw I could not order..

Perhaps, but it's always been our policy not to take an order until we can tell someone how much their car is going to be.
Also, we weren't expecting the response. If I didn't spend so much time reading this forum I would have realized that there is a huge demand for this car regardless what many here are saying!

There is a demand! Thats' why a dealer for Pa, has sold 1 on Ebay for over sticker & has another one already at sticker, with time left on it!
But also, if you go to the bottom of listing, you can see it's been looked at thousands of times!!
Both cars have order numbers, Not just a spot in line!
They've been ordered as Z51's but neither one has the MRC option!

You have a great dealership and when I was living in Philly back in the day, I would always go to place first, however what I think Bill's post was trying to say, if you knew you were going to sell the C7's at MSRP and the list with the prices came out in late April why have you waited so long to take orders as the prices have been out a while and now your flooded with questions and orders from people. In hindsight, wouldn't of it been easier to except orders earlier rather then later?

there was a guy who thought he was number one on dav'es list. found out he's not. maybe there was a list before the official list. or three people taking names and deposits. just speculating tho.

He was a little confused. He was the first phone call I took after the email went out. We had a few people beat him in with the deposits, but not many. We also have a handful of stock units we ordered first so we would have show cars to take to events like Carlisle, Miss America Parade, etc. He's cool and happy!
