If there is an 8 speed auto in the future the 2 extra speeds will have very little effect on performance because of the wide power band of this engine. Good idea for trucks but just silly marketing and probably will add wt also. The euro cars need the multi speed trans because they have little weeny, peaky power bands. I am not saying the 6sp not a great improvement over 4sp but definitely diminishing returns after that.

I don't know why people keep spreading this crap. Go and test drive a 911 with the PDK and then come back and jump in your C6 A6 or the C7 A6 when available. Night and day difference. GM will be bringing something better to the table or they will lose sales.

There will be an 8 speed automatic, 2015 or 2016 when they have it ready. You can also count on a HP bump in the very near future somewhere in the area of 20 with the addition of flex fuel capabilities its just a matter of 15 or 16 count on it.

History has a funny way of repeating itself. Watch for the new transmission and other updates in 2015. I just hope they don't stiff the future C7 Z06 owners by putting the exterior bits and pieces that make a Z06 onto something else and calling it a Grand Sport. But I don't doubt that if sales are slow the marketing guys will pull that trick again.

Sorry, NRB doesn't even come close! Much darker, and doesn't pop! LMB is the best blue they ever had. It's gorgeous. It will outsell any blue they have ever had.

agreed.

But don't get upset with the automakers; instead focus your negativity to the real source for this nonsense:

and all his cult'ish followers.

Geezus... Are you serious? Are you saying that 99% of scientists are in a cult?

I've seen it pop in the right light, but it looks almost black with overcast skies.

I want blue but that Laguna Blue is just too electric - too girlie for me. My brother-in-law calls it "Kotex Powder Puff Blue !". NRB looks like a man's color.

I gotta tell ya though, the C7 would be a knockout in either Atomic Orange or LMB. Maybe I can talk my auto body guy into ordering LMB and reprinting it if I lend him the car for a week......nah, he's a maniac - he'd be like Ferris Bueller with his buddys dad's Ferrari !! You know how that turned out !

As soon as somebody figures out how to remap the ECU, I'll bet you'll see an HP bump of about 50 HP, with no other changes. The engine has been tuned for fuel economy......it has much more potential for performance.

good one.

I re-read my post... and nowhere did I state what you claimed.

-whew-

BTW; for every article that one can find that states an overwhelming majoriry ot scientists think "blah... blah... blah"
a fifth grader can find an equal number of articles that states the exact opposite.

It is becoming clear that not only do many scientists dispute the asserted global warming crisis, but these skeptical scientists may indeed form a scientific consensus...

Sorry, I should say that HE follows the scientists... So anyone following him is following scientists... Still, you said cult.

And you're VERY wrong about the article thing.
http://climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus

You obviously don't know that 99% of the published abstracts and articles about climate change are in consensus that it is real. 97.1% of them are in consensus that it is man made!

Here, have some Wikipedia for breakfast. It also includes the oil industry's science: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_opinion_on_climate_change
So if you really think you can find THAT many articles refuting scientific proof, please, show me.

But you must be smarter than all those scientists. You should tell them how it's BS and why.

I'll be waiting for the 8 speed auto and MSRC on the non-Z51 Vette before I jump into a C7...whenever that will be.

a "scientist" - or anyone interested in facts - does not start out their knowledge quest... with a belief system already in place.

You already know what you want to believe... and will use Wikipedia as a source.
