Undoubtedly sooner than that. In the past it's been May / June. I'm hoping that repeats itself as I intend to order a 2015 as soon as they begin taking orders.
Its not as funny as it sounds. In the past GM has done some significant updates on second year Corvette platforms. The 2014s will be the worst model year of C7s entire life cycle for reliability and overall quality and thats just a fact of life when buying a car on a new platform.

That happens with most any product. The newer model / version almost always gets some kind of upgrades added..... Some manufacturers even hold back some stuff for the next year so they have something new to offer.

I think the 2014 model will be fine for quality since this is a new model and they will probably be extra careful about what they let leave the plant. However I think the 2015 model will have sufficient engineering changes to correct deficiencies and build problems they encountered during the 2014 year production.

yep, I am waiting for the 2015 also. I was 'this close' to pulling a trigger on a 2014 but that first year model thing spooked me a little bit too much. I am hoping they paint the rear bumper cover one color in 2015 and maybe have a comp grey wheel option.
Do the colors change much each year? I'd like to wait for a '15, but don't want to miss out
on a green Vette.
Not normally but they may add colors and one blue almost always changes hues. Unless the green is a terrible seller and I can't see that happening, im sure it will at least make the second year after all they have an awful lot of brown tone interiors that I think were put on the list just for that green and dark blue.

Decided to cancel my ordered for the 2014-going to wait for a 2015, no a 2016 or 2017. Maybe I should wait for a C8, probably a second or third year production.
With the logic in this thread why not wait for '16 or '17?
I do understand those that wait one year after a new generation. Some are not going to buy a new Vette in 15, 16 ,17 or any other year. It is just talk for some.
I thought about waiting of a 15, but like others have said maybe the 15 does not have any improvements and you have to wait for a 16 to get something better. In the end I ordered a 14, and due to a little luck and Rick Conti getting more cars then he tought, I should have my car in September. I will get to enjoy it for an entire year before I could have gotten a 2015. And if things go well I may trade my 14 in for a HIPO model in 2016 anyway.
