We painted my C7 Corvette Hood Scoop Vent Insert - check it out

Absofreakinlutely. Big accents, like on the daytona chargers/murciellago SV/etc, makes the car stand out and look two tone. Stripes, although smaller, make a car stand out too a la Boss302/Mach 1/etc. But all the fairly small and scattered black accents on the C7 make it look like it has a ton of aftermarket parts thrown on it, unpainted. I understand Chevy was trying to show off all the aero highlights of the car, but they lost sight of the idea that some times less is more. Busy, is just plain busy.
I've always thought the best looking hood vents were on the 03-10 Vipers. Aside from being the hood itself(VS an insert like the C7 or gt500) they were body colored and big. This is certainly a step in the right direction to me.
I'd also suggest painting the A pillar, as well as the rear fender vents.
The back, well, with the giant lower valance being black I might leave the tail lights black. Of course ALL the black bits painted body color might be nice too.

I'm actually liking it both ways. It's either all the way, front, back and sides (except for headlights) or not at all. Although on the AW I'm not so sure as the contrasting black against the white may by why AW works so well for me on the C7.
RPI, do them all then post in this thread, I think your onto something. And damn, I was hoping no mods this time for my new Corvette.

I predict that for 2015 there will be an RPO Code to offer all the vents, all the way around, as body colored. Price: probably in the $2k neighborhood for NC colors. Premium colors?
It could even be offered by GM as "..... Special Edition".
Edit: RPI you are in the lead, go for it. Buy the way I've bought some of your C6 products and IMO they are first rate.

Hood vent looks good, but the rear end is what needs a lot of help, as in Urgent Care. No slacking off here - show us what you can do!

Do you like the "black" look or the body color matching look better? Josh
IMO-I would of left it the way it was along with the addition of the Stinger Decal

Great job!!!
Does anyone knows why car company don't paint their bumper and some of the molding.....it could be a 20 thousand car or 75 thousand car....that's why the majority of my car are black......

RPI; do some thing with the strip across the grill to make it blend in with the grill. It stands out way too much and doesn't look right/good at all.
The painted vent does look good on the car. I also like the black look so I could go either way.
