If your coming from a C-6! You should know to have the door or window open before closing the hatch. If is like the C-6, slamming
the hatch is not good! If you watch the hatch hinges bulge due to the pressure. vent system? thats funny!

Wrong....my auto pull down works fine even if the doors are closed and windows up.
they saved $15 per car, by going with the cheaper latch. every car has that "problem" because of it. its not a real problem, just push down easily on the middle of the hatch when down, with 2 hands, about 1 1/2 feet apart. its different from how all other latches work, but its not the end of life as we know it. this should turn out to be the biggest problem any car faces. it has nothing to do with air build up or needing to slam it. less is better--we will just have to wait to see if ultimately this latch fails, resulting in the hatch flipping up while driving at 65 mph. personally, i would guess that it will, but time will tell. dont forget, "its a good car for the money"--that much we know.
same here!....I also thought the vent was suppose to take care of the air pressure problem!

I open the driver's door and then just drop the trunk hatch just like I did on my old C 5 coupe !!!! I do know it only takes about 1/3--1/2 the force that the C 5 took to finally give the right pressure to close it !!! Wayne
