It seems to almost be impossible to take pictures of torch red at night and have it actually look like it was red! It looks so ORANGE. But here is a pic anyway! Looks much better in real life ...
PS - I really like the TSW wheels on your car too. But I bought some Cray Hawks. I just received them a few days ago. I jacked the car up and checked out the front wheel to see how it fits and it fits perfectly. Now I need to get some 19/20" tires ...
A "Build Thread" in the brand new C7 section - something you normally see in the older C1,2, and 3 sections. Love it!!
Glen - I think your car looks amazing and was wondering how the tear drops in the tail light corners would look in body color. Can't beat the TSW wheels in the value category -they are awesome.
Did you check out their Panorama design? Open 5-spoke design. Nice looking wheel.

If you don't own a floor jack and stands - get them for $100 at harbor freight - invaluable - jack up each side and insert the stand right behind the jacking puck from rpidesigns.com
This is a jacking puck, once inserted, it stays on all the time..nice...
Then with a 7MM socket - take off the flex dam
Done, and this car is lowered on the bolts all the way and still gets over every speed bump or parking ingot....after 3500 miles, there is no marks underneath from any scraping at all...much cleaner looking. And if my coefficient of drag has increased from .40 to .41, I'll get over it....LOL
Those wheels on this car is a great example as to why $5k wheels are overkill for the base C7. Those wheels look just as good, if not better than the HREs posted on this forum. Good work.
1. wipe down stripe with ISP (50/50 alcohol/water)
2. put 5-7 drops on stripe - work in with the sponge they give you - side to side - up down
3. wait 3-5 min for it to flash (evap) and use a MF to buff off the apply marks - buff a bit...
4. Done - did the front vent too:
I really wish the sides of my car looked as good as the horizontal surfaces that have little/no orange peel. This is what can be done with a FLEX rotary polisher, finishing pad and Menzerna SF4500 finishing polish, and 15 min worth of work. This is the hatch top stripped with ISP and then polished for 4-6 passes....amazing gloss - no wax or sealant in these pics-
Just an update on the painted taillight body color bezels, done base and clear rattle can, the paint job is as good (if not better) that the paint on the body.
After letting the paint "outgas" and harden for a few weeks, the tail bezels came back off and the following was done by hand:
1. A brisk rub with Menzerna SF4500 finishing polish
2. wax on/buff off Blackfire wet diamond sealant - wait overnight
3. wipe on Blackfire Crystal seal - no buff
Let cure a few hours, and reassemble...perfect gloss, esp on the vents themselves:
hard to get pic, but:
