I have been waiting for an image of my on order TR Z51 vert, this is the first one I have seen, thank you!
Now I need a pic with the top down and 3LT Kalahari interior to keep me going [LOL] during the long delivery wait time.
I agree in that I think the hardtop is a really sensational, new design whereas the vert is less edgy and more evolutionary; the profile of the vert's rear deck is very much like predecessors because there isn't that much you can do with it.
I'm torn because I love the look of the coupe, but I want the top down ease of the vert. I have the coupe now and although it is not difficult to stow and replace the roof, it is a decision never undertaken lightly or for a short hop. Having a vert would, for me, mean more top-free driving due to convenience.
My other concern is I want Z51 with MRC but I am not taken with the Z51 spoiler on the vert. I'm really going to need to see several in person before I order.
I like it too...similar roof look to my vr c5z. I always like the different look of not having the fastback like most of the cars. I know it is not as aero at high speeds but up to 150 it does not seem to be much of a hindrance.
No external rear vents on the convertible. They needed to make room for the top mechanism. The cooling is present but it is a different type of system with a fin arrangement behind the wheels.
I've recently changed to CRM with 3LT Kalihari with black calipers.
I'm keeping the black top, silver wheels. Z51 of course.
I think I will switch out the hood vent to body color and clean it up a bit.
I think historically about 25-30% of the vettes are converts. I doesn't surprise me that people think the convert is strange looking but with the top down on a nice day, that's all that matters to me.
The same is said for the Ferrari 360 coupe and F430 coupe vs their convertible counterparts. The difference being there that it's more like 50-50 in the USA.
