A 7mm socket and a towel to sit on! You don’t have to remove a wheel or jack up the car. Very simple install. Even if you are not a DIY person put a several page picture "how to" on my web site. Netwelding.com/report_vette_info.htm
It even shows what the bottom screws look like so you don’t get the wrong one (as I did!) Don’t even need the plastic wedges, once the bottom screw is out you can pull off with your hands. Could also put tape on a screw driver tip if needed.
I have been trying to get this information. Are you sure they do not require drilling? If not, I am ready to place my order.
No drilling. Only tool you'll need is a 7mm socket. The splash guards snap in place. Takes 10-15 minutes max to do all 4. Check ebay. I got a set of 4 from a chevy dealership for $125 (free shipping).

Absolutely no drilling aftermarket Venders need to pay attention to this installation because if they come up with a different type or more coverage this should be one of the easiest mods out there
Anybody know how these are installed? The c7 doesn't have push pins to remove and reinstall.
Simple install. Removal of a 15 Torx screw on the bottom, removal of current liner (5 or 6 metal clips). Install new splash guard by pushing in the metal clips and reinstall the screw. In all about a 1/2 hour install for all four guards.

Do you know if any vendors are selling these in carbon black or any body color for that matter?

Someone posted earlier that a 7mm socket was required. Can both be used or is one of you mistaken?

I am painting mine; either torch red or metallic black; or gloss black to match the A pillar. I plan to paint the impact area as well to make them look good from front and back....may end up with a 2-tone job. I'll post pics when done and mounted. And no, I am not worried about stone damage...I have a secret weapon for that.
Are these only needed for Z51 cars? Base cars have narrower tires.
Actually, no, not really. Both are 285 width tires. The Z51 just has 30 seies tires on a 20" rim versus 35 series on a 19" rim for the base car. Michelin lists tread width at 11.2" on the Z51 versus 11.1" on the base. Although if you consider 0.1" a significant difference, then yes, the base is a narrower tire.
I will say right now, the splash guards are worth every penny.
I picked up a set through RPI (painted carbon flash) and put them on at the Super 8 across from the NCM. In the few miles I'd done (NCM to factory to the Super 8) there was already a good bit of dust kicked up onto the fenders behind the tires.
I'm currently just shy of 2000 miles into my return trip, and despite numerous occasions where I expected to see some rock chips the fenders are in excellent condition.
