Changes for 2015 Model
Just as they did with the new Z/28... They filed for that trademark then shortly after the new Z/28 show car popped up at the NY Auto Show.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
* a performance model - Z06
* different auto trans
* smaller diameter 3 spoke steering wheel
* two exterior colors: Velocity Yellow Tintcoat & Monterey Red Metallic Tintcoat
* Titanium gray interior color
* Storm Gray convertible top color
* XM Satellite Radio included with Bose stereo
also, I seem to remember that the vert power-top wasn't available until the 2006 MY...
I had a feeling the hundreds of corvette workers NOT associated with BG were hard at work. Should be exciting with supercar performance !

Atomic Orange option
Make the sill plates standard
Body colored vents optional
Blinking side mirrors
Like the Grand Sport, add a wide body version for the Stingray or maybe for a 4LT with the same engine specs just a wider body & wheels.
Interior
upgraded "D" steering wheel option with interior colored leather on parts of the wheel.
Brownstone available at 2LT
Interior option for Kalahari & Brownstone like the red that just goes around the instrument panel instead the whole top of the dash.
Lower the price of the navigation option (will probably sell more).
In this day and age navigation should not cost so much.
Customer Appreciation Special
Every corvette sold (regardless of model) should come with a discount voucher from the museum for $100 off the neon corvette signs.
Well...it was a thought.
Help me understand why anybody would even speak about price increases. It may happen, but why in the hell would anybody speak about as if it's expected and as if it's ok.
Ever hear about self-full feeling.
First of all we all know GM is like any other company, and that is profits, profits, and more profits. While profits are needed for any company why would you want to encourage the idea.
Hopefully GM recognizes that they may have priced the Stingray about right. Obviously whatever price they set will include profits for them and their dealers. One of the other things GM wanted was to add new buyers. Perhaps a higher price may exclude the potential new buyers.
Hopefully GM understands that the surge they are experiencing right now has a lot to due with the model change and the upgrades in the interior. While there have been new buyers, most of the current buyers are previous corvette owners.
I guess I'm saying how about less encouraging conversation about price increases. Why poke the dragon, there is already enough corporate greed out there without encouraging it by talking like its acceptable.
Now with the Z06 announcement many who were looking at a Z51 may wait....Cmon Bill, smell the coffee.
