For 2015 - my guess is a new auto transmission, a price hike ($2500 for the base and $5000 for the Z51). That should drive more buyers to the base model and set the Z51 as a true middle option between the base and the upcoming Z06/07.
Wasn't Z51 always bang for buck? I see that some people are angry in this thered and want price increase probably because they overpaid for their car and regret it that they didn't wait longer, and they are angry that 14yr model lived short and there is 15 on the horizon and probably would be even more angry if there was new A8 for 15 year model, not necessarily with better performance but better fuel mileage.

I don't see any anger at all? I think you need to go back and re-read... the only anger I see is in YOUR post

Default "RONNIE" at GM ENGINEERING tells me......

........2015 Go's : 7th generation runflats (4lbs lighter) Photocromatic "Transitions" type roof panel..... 2015 not so likely: The "VAPRON" HVAC system. Semi- reflective paint (extra cost no doubt). I guess they have enough new & improved coming next couple years.

They'll probably be something coming connected with "L88"... GM recently got approval for the trademark...

According the GM Authority article, GM submitted two separate applications relating to the L88 name. First On August 4th, 2012 they applied for “exterior and interior badges for motor land vehicles”. Then on September 18th they filed another application relative to “decals”. In October both were published for opposition as part of the normal approval process. Subsequently on January 15th, 2013 both we approved to the US Patent and Trade Office Principal Register.

Just as they did with the new Z/28... They filed for that trademark then shortly after the new Z/28 show car popped up at the NY Auto Show.

Doubt if there will be much, but if they repeat the past I would guess a new tranny and maybe mag ride will show up. And a new color, with the loss of a current color.

the second year for the C6 got:

* a performance model - Z06
* different auto trans
* smaller diameter 3 spoke steering wheel
* two exterior colors: Velocity Yellow Tintcoat & Monterey Red Metallic Tintcoat
* Titanium gray interior color
* Storm Gray convertible top color
* XM Satellite Radio included with Bose stereo

also, I seem to remember that the vert power-top wasn't available until the 2006 MY...

2015 Corvette Z06 to be uncovered in January!

I had a feeling the hundreds of corvette workers NOT associated with BG were hard at work. Should be exciting with supercar performance !

I suspect alot of you will be spot on in your predictions.
Exterior
Atomic Orange option
Make the sill plates standard
Body colored vents optional
Blinking side mirrors
Like the Grand Sport, add a wide body version for the Stingray or maybe for a 4LT with the same engine specs just a wider body & wheels.

Interior
upgraded "D" steering wheel option with interior colored leather on parts of the wheel.
Brownstone available at 2LT
Interior option for Kalahari & Brownstone like the red that just goes around the instrument panel instead the whole top of the dash.
Lower the price of the navigation option (will probably sell more).
In this day and age navigation should not cost so much.

Customer Appreciation Special
Every corvette sold (regardless of model) should come with a discount voucher from the museum for $100 off the neon corvette signs.
Well...it was a thought.

Agreed.

Hell they cant even fill Z51 orders as-is. No way there will be serious changes this soon.

Since the demand is so great for the Z51 it makes perfect sense to increase its price. If people are so excited about this option that they will wait months more then obviously it is worth more. Supply and demand. I look for a Z51 price increase as the first place they will go.

Hey Guys
Help me understand why anybody would even speak about price increases. It may happen, but why in the hell would anybody speak about as if it's expected and as if it's ok.

Ever hear about self-full feeling.
First of all we all know GM is like any other company, and that is profits, profits, and more profits. While profits are needed for any company why would you want to encourage the idea.

Hopefully GM recognizes that they may have priced the Stingray about right. Obviously whatever price they set will include profits for them and their dealers. One of the other things GM wanted was to add new buyers. Perhaps a higher price may exclude the potential new buyers.

Hopefully GM understands that the surge they are experiencing right now has a lot to due with the model change and the upgrades in the interior. While there have been new buyers, most of the current buyers are previous corvette owners.

I guess I'm saying how about less encouraging conversation about price increases. Why poke the dragon, there is already enough corporate greed out there without encouraging it by talking like its acceptable.

How is the demand so great...many dealers have them for sale in the dealer section! With discounts!
Now with the Z06 announcement many who were looking at a Z51 may wait....Cmon Bill, smell the coffee.
