I figure if i'm waiting till spring, than why not see what the hi -po has to offer. Z51's should be dropping by then as well. Sorry if you dont like my logic

Well, the 2015's won't be going down the line until August, so you'd be looking at anywhere from Sept. to Nov. if you catch an early allocation. But who knows, the hi po may be worth the wait.

Or just keep an eye on the dealer invnetory section on this forum, never know what may be on a truck right now.

Got a problem waiting for the regular C7? LOL. Just wait until the Z comes out and watch how long you wait for that and what you will pay for "market adjustment"!!!

actually I'm glad he did......

OP, was your deposit one to order (as in did you factory order yours) and if so did you get any grief getting your deposit back?

The reason I ask is because I put my deposit down on August 27 and still have yet to receive mine. I in no way want cancel my order but I'm just curious to see if there was any problem in getting your money back stating time as your reason.

I emailed my cancellation in today. Havent heard back yet. I dont think it will be a problem as they are a large reputable company. Worse case scenario is i tell them to hold the money until i see whats going on with the new hi perf version.

The only issue you will have is that even if the hi-po is announced in January, it is likely it won't be until Fall before you can get one. Also, if your dealer was so small they couldn't get a base car, you might want to connect with a larger forum dealer if you want any chance of getting the hi-po version. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

He said he was with MacMulkin. You can't get any bigger than that other than Kerbeck.

OP, my bet is of the hi-po version appeals to you, you would be unhappy with your current order anyways.

freakn august that is ridiculous. i canceled my initial order with my local dealer after a month because they didn't even have the courtesy to return my calls. so i bought one out of state too that was a spec order that was close to what I wanted. i think time is a great reason. tell them they couldn't deliver. i would start looking for another one. i mean is it even built?

A hi-po version for $20k or less over a base Z51? Are you dreaming? Hell, fully loading up a Z51 with options is already $20k over the base Z51.

Don't bet against it...remember, its an upgrade and not the c7 generation top dog.

There has been lots of speculation that will only be 1 hi-po car. If this it true, then the price would be higher. My bet is $90,000 for the base hi-po car and 110,000 for fully loaded. But who knows at this stage...

Are we talking Z06 or Z07 territory here? As of right now a Z06 is pretty much $30,000 over a base C6. That is with the 1LZ trim. The C7 Z06 is going to be AT LEAST that much over a Z51.

I'm expecting a different strategy then with the C6 production run....don't think the 40 000 units the first , and the averaging 15 000(sold at massive discounts)units for the remaining 8 years was well accepted by their board of directors ...Hence a different strategy.
