1LT doesn't have the cheap emblem . . . and 2LT and 3LT shouldn't have it either.
I am betting after the warranty claims, 2LT's & 3LT's for 2015 won't have the either. I know it is probably $10 cheaper for the emblem than the embroidery on the C6, but really GM can spring for it in a $50,000+ car.
Are we talking about the same belts here...as in...for your pants? How the hell did it get caught on the emblem by the headrest? Do you get in your car by jamming your *** on the headrest and than sliding all the way down?
Ask GM Customer Care to get you one from the emblem vendor...the Purchasing or Product Engineering Office will know who is supplying the emblem to the seat skin vendor. Or, have them get in touch with the seat skin vendor and have one pulled from their inventory. No way in hell you should have to pay $300 for a seat skin you don't need. It would be different if it was embroidered in, but in this case it is simply an add on. Dealers have no concept of what goes on back at Headquarters, but the right engineer or other employee would have no trouble helping you out. Hell, there probably are a 100 of them in his desk drawer right now, left over from testing.
thanks customer care, oh sorry did not notice yor handle,
Frankly, it would surprise me if the dealer did not make good on this even though it was determined to somehow be totally your fault. Especially so close to you taking delivery. I would think they would want to portray a sense of gratitude to their customer for purchasing from them in the first place. They care what you say to others about their dealership, so give it a try. This clearly was not abuse or neglect on your part IMO.
Looks like the designers didn't figure in Murphy's Law and unorthodox methods of entry.
Also if the seat cover had to come off to replace it, a change will probably come soon. Looks like a warranty job to me.
Dealer replaced the windshield on my '12 under warranty for a pretty obvious stone chip crack.
I guess the embroidered emblem. And, sharp two tone seats are gone with the C6. I predict both will be back along with the Comp Gray wheels.
Agreed. The C7 interior is supposed to be better than the C6. While that is true in most aspects, the seat emblems are clearly a downgrade as compared to the embroidered ones. They should not put cheap plastic emblems on the seats, especially if they can break or if they can catch clothing. GM needs to change this design flaw.
