Plastic ????

Multi colored embroidered vette emblems would have looked nicer.
But you know gm will cheap where they can
I totally agree. Why they didn't embroider this is beyond me. Embroidering doesn't break AND it looks good.

I feel you're pain. This should be cover under warranty. Poor quality plastic piece of ****; it should be metal like my AMG.

The guy who parked next to you is a jerk, unless you poorly parked.

Guy next to me was an *** for parking so damn close. I'm only 5'7", 140lb. It's not like my *** is huge. If any of you try to get into your car without opening the door, you can't just jump easily in since the car is so low. I stepped bare foot onto the seat sent then sat down. Try Doing that without sliding you butt down the seat and not ramming your legs into the steering column. It's probably harder if you're taller.

I did get a call back from a dealer who said they would handle this under warranty for me. My friend who used to work at GM has an email into someone he knows on the engineering side who would be in charge of "defective" parts that come back from dealers (they test them etc. to see if it could be a common problem). I'll be curious what he hears back on this after the holiday. Glad the dealer is helping me on this. I can't imagine it's suppose to be so easy to snag...

All I kept thinking before this got resolved was this wouldn't have happened on my M3 because BMW wouldn't use cheap *** plastic parts...

Glad your dealer is taking care of this for you. Should never have been an issue for you to have to resolve in the first place - seats should have been standard with the logo embroidered.

Prolly get done in '15 as I can see this becoming an issue. Peeps snagging knit caps, hoodies, etc. Worse for GM, some lady snags her hair on it .......... Lawsuit city.

Because Mopar doesn't put emblems on seats

Not to mention that they climbed out the window, not up over the top.

I had this happen on Day 2 of ownership!

I just took it to the dealership, they ordered a new top seat leather cover and it was replaced.

next time......

problem solved, unless you have an uncapped Sharpie sticking out of your butt and happen to write all over the emblem while trying to get into the seat.

Can anyone confirm if the 2LT and 3LT seat emblems are the same? Or are they different?

Glad they warrantied it for you. For $50 it would have been annoying - but $300 is criminal.

That is not a good design to put a cheap piece of plastic on a seat. They should have kept the embroidered piece. It probably cost a few cents more however and were looking at every possibility to save cost. Maybe if enough people break them and it becomes a warranty concern they will go back to the embroidered piece. Or more likely they will change it only for the Z06.

I guess I should check my back pockets for screwdrivers before I sit in my Corvette...

I don't have many complaints about my car...but if I were to make a list it would definitely include this plastic piece. I thought it looked cheap the day I bought the car, I love the idea of embroidery but if cost was an issue I'd almost rather have nothing (like the 1LT) than this plastic piece.

Should be embroidered.

Will have to get the comp seats so my mistress can't snag her silk stockings on that thing.
