Maybe if you posted some detailed pics, it would help to explain what you're seeing?

Do you think the salesperson would tell me "your tires are cracked, see here and here, when you start driving the car this spring bring it back to us and we'll replace them under warranty" while being mistaken the whole time?

I'm just finding this really strange that some people on here would think that I would have any motivation to lie on the internet about something so silly as my tires being cracked LOL.

Can't post pics today because the car hasn't been delivered to me yet and I'm not driving to the dealership this evening. It's being shipped to my house tomorrow late-afternoon. I could take pics then, but even if I did I feel the joke would be on me that I actually felt I had to prove something so silly. If I'm convinced that its just honest minds wanting to learn what the cracked tires look like and not some type of pissing match where someone thinks I'm lying, then I'll post pics.

Anyway, if anyone honestly wants to learn more about this I'm just pasting what the dealership emailed me today when I started asking more questions about it:

"Unfortunately all the C7’s in the showroom have visible cracks in them except for 1.

GM is aware of how much it will cost them to replace all of the tires and we may now not be getting any of our other Vettes until spring so they do not have to pay to fix any more. So as unfortunate as this has been at least you will have your car right away come spring time"

I then asked if this is something new to the C7 and wasn't much of a problem for C6's and his reply is:

"Yes, there wasn't as many issues with the C6 tires on the grand sport but when looking at the Z06 and ZR1 in the C6 body they had the same issues. The tires are fine as long as you are not driving on htem under -7, but I would just stick with 0' to be safe. Nice thing to note is that GM did develop an all season tire with Michellin to work really great on the C7."

I hope the doubting on this thread is not one of those Z51 vs non-Z51 debates where a non-Z51 owner doesn't want to accept that the Z51 rubber is different enough to make it easier to crack (not addressing this to you but to C7Jake).

But hey, maybe I am making all this up. Maybe I don't even have a C7 lol. Maybe the pics I uploaded were of someone else's car You never know until its proven right? lol

All I can say is that when I'm trying to describe something that may be something others have not seen before..."a picture is worth a thousand words"

Taking and posting a digital picture ain't rocket science, right?

Like I said its just a matter of principle. If you're asking me because you think I'm lying then I won't post it, if you're asking me because you konw I'm telling the truth and you want to see what cracked tires look like then I probably will post it. I'd like to also first see if there are any others on here who want to see pics or if this is just an isolated request.

Cracked tires on showroom cars with zero miles??
A line of BS by a salesman?
I highly doubt Sherwood has taken delivery of 34 C7's, to date!
Set the record straight...you started the topic.
Dude, I don't care what you believe. If you want confirmation it'll have to be on your time not mine, so feel free to call Sherwood Park Chevrolet, you can even ask for my salesperson Zach and mention "the buyer of the yellow C7 who is having it delivered to his house tomorrow posted online that his tires were cracked before they even left your dealership and that almost all of your C7's delivered in the winter have tire cracks. I think this is BS. Can you confirm?"

I'm truly curious as I'm probably taking delivery of my Z51 next week and I'd like to know what to look for

If you're going to talk the talk, then walk the walk. Two detailed photos. Up close of your car showing the cracks, and same in the showroom of tires on a car there. And the detail should show they're on C7's. If the dealer said what he said, post the name and phone # of the dealer and whom you spoke to. If not, your statement just isn't credible and you should ask a mod to pull the thread.

lol I already posted his name, its not appropriate for me to post his last name along with the first because then it becomes googleable and some people don't like that. Google Sherwood Park Chevrolet, give them a call, press 0 to get past the menu and ask for "Zach" if you really want to confirm this

despite the other few retards in this thread I guess I will post pics tomorrow because you seem to actually have a legitimate reason to want to see them.

btw I wonder if posters on Porsche or Viper forums make such stupid accusations towards each other lol

"My tires are cracked."

"No that can't be! You must be lying! Prove it with pics and prove that the tire is on your C7!"

I bet some do. Welcome to the internet. Its true theres hostility on this forum but on the other hand, if you werent playing the "If you can guess Ill tell" approach, Im sure a lot of it would have been avoided.

If youre posting to be helpful and inform other forum members, great. Post the issues and the pics. This whole "only if you say pretty please teehee" makes me want to throw a Porsche and a Viper at you.

Actually I just decided something. I will NOT post the pics on this thread lol, BUT I will pm or email them to both gthal and Kenhorse because they seem to be the only two who want to see them for a reason other than thinking that I'm a liar.

I don't want to post them and give c7jake and cruiter the feeling that I care what they think.

If anyone else wants to see them just pm me.

I'll likely send them tomorrow late afternoon/early evening, OR Sunday night, because I'm leaving town for the weekend.
