Do you have any idea to what the lowest temps those tires were subjected?
On occasion it does drop to about -35 C or -50 C with windchill. However, I can't say that it was only under those extreme temperatures that the tires cracked. There are many winter days here around -15 C as well, they may have cracked during a day like that too. Not sure what these translate to fareinheit, but i dont think any of you in the U.S. need to worry much about this.

the picture you posted is the same one from the OP.
Also, wind chill has nothing to do with actual temps.

I'm not understanding what you're trying to say? Who do you refer to as the OP? I started this thread so are you referring to me? Or are you referring to c7jake who was the OP of the other thread that got closed.
If you read a few of my previous posts on this thread it should make sense what happened, if not let me know and I can clarify.

Pictures of tires on Z51 Stingray left outdoors in extreme cold. These pictures are online and suggest that this issue is not isolated. According to the post, these were left out at -20 degrees centigrade or -4 Farenheit.

Thanks for the info. Those kinds of temps in my part of the world (Pacific Northwest) are all but unheard off but that's good info Oh and also FWIW... wind chill doesn't mean anything except on skin.
FWIW and for future reference...
-35C = -31F
-50C = -58F
-15C = 5F

Yep... but only on deliveries. Once it is your car, you are on the hook if the tires are subjected to incorrect temps.
As painful as it would be, GM should have stopped delivering cars in January, February and March to places where temps are consistently below freezing just to avoid delivery issues and the subsequent warranty claims.
