IMO the engine failure issue has NOTHING to do with faulty oil filters at all. It was a nice try by GM to try and blame it on someone or something else other than the faulty engine itself. C/F member Mango727 had his motor blow at 9200 miles AFTER TWO oil changes by the dealer. The engine let go without much warning. His car was made in May of 2014 so it was also not an early VIN model build.

you need crosscountry travel to do even close to a 100k love these stories!
