I'm out in Arizona, so probably assuming it will take about as long as possible to get to me. I'd get a lot of relief just seeing the GPS movement. I know the GPS is not 100% accurate, but from the picture I would assume my car isn't even in a rail car yet. It's moved a little up the way though since it first arrived on 7/16.
My Z06 has been sitting there since 7-10. I'm a little south of the intersection compared to your car. Mine is destined for the Bay Area. I guess they are all coming on a huge train going West.
Chevy Customer Service called me this morning to tell me my car was built yesterday, and they provided a VIN in a follow up email. #2218. Ordered 6/9, received TPW of 7/20 a week later and the car was produced yesterday.
I ordered from a small dealer in WI and the entire process, including the GM Customer Service experience and updates were spot on.
2016, SG 2LT Z51 M7 Coupe, Black Interior w/suede, transparent top, full CB racing stripes, CB mirrors, spoiler, badging, black wheels, museum delivery.
Now just need Shane to reach out and let me know what my museum delivery options are.
Once the car is produced, then shipped. How long does it take approximately, to get too the Bay Area CA?
Thanks, Jerry
I understand there is a pretty large range in time it takes to get from the factory to the railcars to the destination. For example I've heard cars being stagnant at one stop/location for weeks to months.

WOW, that's quite a long time. Sure hope that changes soon lol
Well I told myself to leave on-star GPS alone until tonight, but glad I checked. My car moved in the last 4 hours to what appears to be on the tracks and in a railcar!
My dealer called me in April to advise that he had a commitment for an early delivery on a 2016. I had to buy price unknown, options price unknown. I agreed but limited to $3000 price increase for the 16. Placed the order for a Z51 on May 5 with a build commitment of week 22/6 with a target dely of 11 days after build. They took the order and confirmed that it was built that week. As of 21 july I don't have it. I don't even have a s/n or target ship date. I ordered the carbon flash EYT and the best information I have has come not from GM or my sales rep but by you guys. I even tried to initiate the onstar so I could track it but my rep says he can't. I know cars are being shipped to inventory while my built car sits in a BG parking lot. I've owned Vette's for 30 years and this is my worst buying experience. GM went bankrupt in 08 and they still do the same things. I'm convinced GM's mission statement is " We have seen the enemy and they are our customers''. Can anybody give me information cause GM won't.
Chevrolet Live Chat should be able to tell you when your car was built and the vehicle identification number
Live chat was my best source for information and they provided weekly updates on my order right up until the car was produced. They also provided the VIN at that point.
Received word last week my Z06 was built (Monday) and hit event code 4150 (dealer invoiced).
Just talked with the dealer and I'm now at 4B00 (bayed)
From the code numbers it seems to me like I'm moving in the wrong direction.
Can anyone with any experience tell me if this is the normal progression or is something happening to delay the shipment of the car?
Thanks
Invoicing is strictly a paperwork event, not involving the actual car. During new model or model year startup, cars will frequently go in and out of Bayed status. My '13 427 Convertible went to Bayed status 4 separate times, based on the full 3 page OrderWORKBENCH document my dealer forwarded to me when the car finally arrived at the dealership, approximately 6 weeks after it was built.
