You need to get to 4200 which means Chevy has turned over responsibility to Dispatch. Actual shipping (loading on the hauler) usually take two days and can take up to ten days. From 4000 to 4200 can take in a couple or more different codes, it is rarely a 4000 to 4200 single step.

Let's summarize. You said:

Your words: "Company wide release date". Not brand-wide, or model-wide, but "Company wide".

Demonstrably untrue. This year, like every year, GM has and will be releasing new MY cars at various dates throughout the spring, summer and fall.

Next, you try and refute my factual experience of new Corvettes being released in spite of huge backlogs of unsold old year Vettes with this novel argument:

In the immortal words of Nelson Muntz: "Stop hitting yourself". You are arguing 180 degrees against your position. You initially say that GM needs to manage old year inventory by holding back new inventory. Now you say, forget about that old inventory, let's sell new inventory as quick as we can. You're making it up as you go along.

I'll admit - I don't know when I'll get my car. However, I can project, recognizing a degree of uncertainty based on current factual information and past practice. You, on the other hand, appear to be trolling with a totally unsupported assertion that 16MY buyers won't see their cars until mid August at the earliest.

Pure, unadulterated speculation.

The following was in an email I received a couple of days ago from GM. Does this just mean my car is one of the hundreds in the QC hold?

"As of today our system shows that your vehicle is i the post production status, Meaning that your vehicle is going through some last minute checks, to make sure that your vehicle is in top of the line shape when delivered to the dealership."

As I have posted twice in this thread, MacMulkin reported VIN 0012 passed QC on 7/1.

He doesn't have invoices.... ain't nothing moving until invoices are available, (or they run out of storage?)

We need someone with backdoor access to a spy satellite to report transport trucks through the gate!

As I posted either in this thread or one of similar content, I still expect shipping to start Thursday or Friday. 4200 is the magic number. That says vehicle responsibility has been given to Dispatch and until that happens ain't no unit going nowhere other than the holding lot.

I seem to recall when the first C7 build got to 4200 they started leaving BGAP. To Nashville, where they went to 4B00 for what seems like forever, then back to 4200 and lo and behold, to the dealers.

Drake, where are you now that we need your calm counsel?
