Another thing to keep in mind is, this is a very aggressive look...very race oriented. If you have a chrome wheel Corvette that is stock rally ride height and you put white lettering on your tires, it's going to look flat out stupid and ridiculous. If you're car is aggressive looking, sits aggressive, etc...then you can pull it off.
I'll have you know my new Nissan Frontier pickup has factory white-letter tires. If a stylish, avant garde work of art like my Fronty has 'em, they ain't tasteless! Anyway, style goes in cycles, so maybe it's time for bell-bottoms and white-letter tires again. On second thought, not bell-bottoms, please.
That's an SUV and the lettering is discreet and it looks like it belongs there. The Vette is a different story.
If your car is lowered and very much race inspired it looks awesome. If you have a stock ride height, convertable, Laguna blue car with the chromies it looks terrible

My wife had those on her pickup and turned the right tire into a whitewall. She determined how close to the curb she was by running into it.
Actually, it's not a right way or a wrong way of doing anything. It's to each their own. I don't own a full fledged racecar. So I don't want lettering large enough to cover rim to tire edge. I like how it looks. It's not right or wrong. I blow dry my car. Some use towels. Doesn't make it right or wrong. Just different ways and different outcomes. As long as each is happy with their vehicle.
There's a right way and a wrong way of doing it. It's imperative the letters go from the rim to the outer edge...not smaller. The smaller letters are how cars were in the 80's, current trucks are, nascar...all that crap.
To each his own, but I can't agree with that that this is the way to do it!
On race cars it is Ad Space on a non race car it is personal preference. Liked it on the 66 GTO we had and the old muscle cars but not on a modern Corvette for us. But we also prefer chrome wheels.
