I think it is a clever graphic design which I respect. And it is cool. I bought one on my rear hatch matt; was just admiring it yesterday. Would like the wheel cap thingies, too, but too expensive. Of course I like the stingray badges and graphic, too, which some don't. I put one of those on the hood and love it.
As the official mascot of Corvette Racing, I like it a lot, as an expression the team's LeMans moto "take no prisoners."
I never could find a place on my C6 where I thought it looked good and never added one, but after attending Spring Mountain this Fall, I liked the location they use on their cars. I have a black one on my SG C7 with black badges and wheels. Very subtle and I like it.
no one ever said that Corvette owners were the classiest people of the bunch. IMO, Corvettes are one of the WORST cosmetically modded cars out there....just goes to show that there's no accounting for taste.
I never thought about this but you are right. I can't recall ever seeing a Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, or any of the other high-end cars with mudflaps, stickers, aftermarket rims, etc.
After reading this thread, it really reminds me of attending the local Corvette club meeting right after having bought my GS.
Over 100 people in the meeting, most in their 70's and older. The main topic of conversation were the various "burger" runs they were planning and who was going to be on the committee's and where to go. These dominated the meeting. Meanwhile, a small group was begging for people to work an event at the Iowa Speedway for an autocross that was coming up. Over $30K was being spent to rent an incredibly nice NASCAR racetrack and there was just about zero interest.
I left and never went back. The same type of mentality permeates this thread. Jake is about one thing, Corvette Racing and the resident "burgermeisters" are speaking up.
When I see Jake on a vette, or any vehicle I automatically know it's a racing fan and a supporter of Corvette racing.

I'm glad you and I don't share the same "taste"...
Could care less what other's think of my mods! I've never had a DD in ~60 years I didn't personalize so it fits me!
Don't care if anyone understands my License plate either! As with it, after reading the racing heritage of "Jake" added mine. This is a PDF that discuses "Jake" history! http://netwelding.com/Jake_Emblems.pdf
Includes why I have a small carbon flash Jake raised emblem on the rear upper fender!
I’m buying a car with the two tone hood sticker. It was dealer installed but probably going to ask them to remove it. They will probably say no.
I just added the Jake stinger to my WGGM Z06! It's a subtle way to add a bit of contrast to the all gray hood, and being that I'm a huge race fan it "fits"!!
I don't know why they have it on their race cars, don't know why people have it on their street cars.....

Hmm, some of us do read a lot and have a "thing about history!" Your first post shows you're happy to remain ignorant.
Fine, but your opinion is also not important to me!
