Another female driver here. I still always wave but it seems like I get a wave about 25% of the time. I should say most Vettes I see are coming from the other direction on split lane highways so maybe I just can't see the wave.

On one of the rare occasions my wife was in one of my Vettes a female Vette driver waved to me. I had a difficult time convincing my wife I didn't "know" the other driver.
I was just thinking- back in the day there was 100% waving and no Forum to discuss it.

Waved at a Vette driven by a lady. She didn't wave back. Then I remembered I was in my truck.
I wave every time I see a Vette.

Not exactly a wave situation,,,,but,,,,
One of the weirder things to happen to me:
I have a neighbor (several houses away).....
I later found out he's had a sex change operation.
At one point I'd noticed this 'blonde' in our neighborhood taking a walk almost every day. She (it) always wore flashy pink clothing such as jump suit. warm ups or even a mini skirt.
I never suspected what was going on until someone told me.
I was driving my C-5 convertible (with the top down) down the street one day and was stopped by a red light. While awaiting for it to change, this 'person' was walking by and walked over to my car and said 'nice car mister'. Now this transgender person is likely the ugliest 'female' I've seen in my 70+ years on this planet. I was dumbfounded.
A simple thank you and then fortunately the light changed.
Can you say ugh!

I've always obeyed the principle since my first Vette in 94 that you're not even supposed to acknowledge another driver unless they are in a Vette !! I think t's called Vettiquette

I wave all the time as well. In fact it gets complicated for me because there is the vette wave, the jeep wave and the motorcycle down low wave. If I forget I wasn't being ignorant, I just can't remember what I am driving. Besides hasn't anyone had that moment when you leave the house with a jeep and see vettes all over the place, and the hop in the vette and suddenly it's Jeeps all over?
