For those who say all black cars are a problem in quality are wrong. The problem, and many here are correct, that it is the paint dept of the factory that is the problem. I have a black Silverado built in Canada. Paint is great. I have a black Volt built in Detroit. Paint is even better than the truck-very deep, deep black. No blemishes or orange peel. Best paint of any car I have ever had. The 2014 C-7 vert I have is torch red does have orange peel but no other issues. It is disappointing that a $70k car has these issues.
Not sure why so many people accept bad paint jobs at delivery. Inspecting the vehicle before you take delivery would avoid issues for you and possibly cause GM to reconsider their acceptable standards on the C7.
Good to see that there was a satisfactory resolution in this case.
You couldn't see this very easily until you saw it with a flashlight. Only reason why I saw it was because we were getting r wey to detail it.
