1500 miles, built 3/23/15.. Hard down shift once around 500 miles on it..over all it's been a great transmission.
I have read a few ppl saying they had the early A8, when did they update it or its software??

2016 not so much 36/60 .was cut starting this year
GM feels the lowing of power train warranty should not affect sales ...
at least tht is their research and they are probably correct ..as i did not know of the change until i looked it up...
Gee, folks -- I'd like a real poll set up on this.
Proposed choices: (For A8 owners, obviously)
1. No issues.
2. Minor issues, now corrected
3. Major issues, resolution pending
4. Major issues, torque converter replaced
5. Major issues, transmission replaced
Other thoughts?
FWIW, I have an A8, about 9200 miles, built in Feb 15, initial hard downshift to first when slowing to a stop, and hard shift 1st to 2nd when cold, all self corrected with "self-learning" transmission, not reported to dealer. About 9200 miles. Fingers crossed.
Number 4&5 are going to increase as the mileage increases.
I'm starting to hear a slight whine which is not characteristic of this vehicle to my knowledge. Will have to hit up Chevy next week and let them know what's up. LoL
#3 for me. About 4500 miles and waiting for new TC and Transmission. I am wondering if getting that first oil change at 500 miles, or not, could have anything to do with this problem.

No, an oil change has nothing to do with any transmission issue.
Len44 why don't you start a poll. I have an early 2015 and the torque converter has been replaced. Noticed shuddering at 9K miles.
Thanks, good thought. I just wanted to toss out a straw man as a starting point. Figured that might be others who would recommend something a bit different in the choices.
I'm sure there are folks on here far brighter than I that have experience / expertise in designing and posting up a poll.
