Where are you guys getting the front cameras? Are they the stock ones that are on the current '16 models? Is there a place that sells them cheaper than from GM?

From the geezers install thread. Once I saw the price and that it has gridlines it was a no brainer.
Haven't decided yet, Tom, but that's what I'm thinking right now. The problem is the size/bulk of the cables required for the iPhone - I thought about trying to go wireless but nothing strikes me as particularly elegant. I'll have to play with the cables to minimize the "ugly factor" I hate clutter in the cabin.
I have mine going through the pop up power connection. What I did was leave the iPhone adapter in the dash and bought a Lightning cable extender so I only have 1 wire coming out. If you do this I would use a 3 foot HDMI, 3 foot iphone cable to the iphone adapter and then a 3 foot extender. I got a 6ft extender and it is mostly coiled up under the waterfall. I have an idea for making sure the cable doesn't fall back under the center console. Once I have everything done I will post up the parts.
I was off today and down in my lower garage had the vette on the lift chging out my trans fluid & my rear end oil also. Dam even on a lift this is a big pain in the azz. I do mean here no room for nothing under this azz end.
Well lets get to the point here I got something from NAVTOOL yes I have it. I am also off tomorrow I hope the shop that my friend works at has a really good front camera for this thing. Robert
If I can get all of the other parts I need I will have this thing in tomorrow. I will add side camera and all the other stuff it can do over the next few weeks for sure. I will see what ever little thing it can do over time.
I'm sitting at my desk at home and I look out and see the UPS come down our street, thinking he will make the turnaround in the cul-de-sac as he always does and he would be stopping to deliver the almighty UPS package we all have been waiting for that was scheduled for delivery for today (It was out for delivery at 6:50 AM today). Next thing I know, NO stop!!! HEY!!! What's going on here??? I quickly go to the UPS tracking site and not 2 minutes after the truck went by I see:
Oklahoma City, OK, United States 05/04/2016 17:56 The street number is incorrect. This may delay delivery. We're attempting to update the address.
WHAT THE F@#$???? Thought my head was going to explode!!
Couldn't get UPS on the phone fast enough. I said my address was 12209 and they said the package has 12203 as the address (which there is no such number on our street). So back it went to the UPS delivery center.
HOPEFULLY, I will see this thing tomorrow.
What next???

where will you installed your side camera ????????
My NavTool actually arrived today. I couldn't believe how many times they told me it was "shipping out on Monday" until I finally said, "that's not good enough...which Monday? A Monday this week, next month, sometime in the future". Well, it's here...with no instructions or documentation. Very disappointing that I'll have to drudge through the forum (thanks to Geezer and others for awesome write-ups) rather than getting a complete product from the manufacturer. I mean, it's not like they just made it yesterday. They've had MONTHS to get this right, and have so far failed my expectations at every turn. Perhaps my feelings will change after it's installed, but I'll never forget this horrible experience.
From the looks and sounds, things are going great. Congrats on receiving you NavTools. I'll hopefully see one in person on day. For now, just gonna old-school it and look at my map on my phone. Congrats people!
Only can get in here at work now for a few more days. Having my step son work on my home computer. But will be getting it back this weekend.
I got the navtool in the car it works like a champ. Got all wires ran front camera working like it should. Got other stuff laid out for side camera's and the cell. Cant believe how much better the front set up is over the rear plus much better in 100% dark of night.
I will be doing each of the other set up's one at a time. Plus I hooked my power wire up at the console cig lighter wire. No having to cut & do a plug into the fuse box..
This hook up is really easy as 123 but the biggest PITA was get the wire running from the pass side to the drivers side. Man you are talking no room at all for nothing from the tunnel over the hump. Robert

NavTool has been in my car since 4-28-2016 and is working perfectly. No issues, no blips, no problems.
When you get the device, I recommend that YOU do the update BEFORE you put it in the car. The update takes about 5 minutes from start to ready for the car.
To do the update:
download the latest Navtool.msi to your PC/laptop from Navtools Home Page.
Double Click on the MSI file to load the Update tool.
When you get the Red Icon for "NSU" then, Run the update tool. Make sure you see version 3.2.0
Use a MICRO plug to USB cord.
Click on "Search" fill in the data to get to the 2014-2015 Corvette Software.
Click on the Corvette software to highlight it and then click on "INSTALL".
When updated, you will get a pop up box telling you the Update is complete.
Click on the settings and confirm what you want running.
I HAVE:
HDMI checked
Front Camera checked
OEM Rear Camera checked
The 2 drop down boxes are set to Manual and Auto Speed
When you are done, SAVE the settings.
That's it, the unit is ready for install.
It's too damn bad they missed their shipping dates and whatever and got themselves banned from this site. The product has been excellent (so far).
I helped a friend install a NavTool on his 2015 a few weeks ago and he is pleased as punch over the performance of the device.
