There were no further pictures in the thread -- just a question and a response which I've now added to the thread (see posts 11-12). If NavTool is monitoring your posts and knows you need instructions on installing the device, then NavTool should email you the installation information you need.

If you look at the Navtool install PDF that only shows the driver's side install, there is some tiny print on the first page that shows the revision number and the date produced which is Dec 20 2015. The revised instructions were posted over 2 months after the PDF came out.

How you choose to install it is up to you since no instructions are being sent with the products. I plan on following the revised instructions and I'll post my results here afterwards.

I am number 69 on the list. Received tracking number on the 20th but no movement on the tracking number. Called on Thursday and was told that my interface was on the rack for shipping that day. Today is Saturday and still no movement on the tracking site. Has anyone on my similar range of the list gotten a date for delevery on the tracking site?

Thanks

I don't get mine until the 29th (late). I'll beat on it immediately and answer a lot of questions on the install.

Did someone a few pages back (quietly) refer to a Second Supplier? PM me if it can't be posted here.

The suspense is Killing me (I want one but have only owned a C7 since Feb so I'm not on "The List"). The allegedly post by someone from their Camp is absolutely Childish.

I inquired last week off their web site about the availability for my '14 C7. Their response was, "Hi we have it available $399". Nothing on delivery time etc. They did send a link.

Same here. Given a tracking number on Monday, told via email it would ship on Wednesday, told by phone it would ship on Thursday. Now 'Vitaliy' is telling me it will ship on Monday, literally just received an email less than 1 minute ago with that promise. Trying to decide if I'm going to start a dispute or not with my CC company.

Thanks, the package left there this AM and is due somewhere (must be a secret) on Monday. Probably a long truck ride heading South.

I thought I would let folks know that I received an email today from Vitaliy in reference to an earlier post I added to this thread. He says the connectors on the drivers side are different and the NavTool cannot be installed on the drivers side. He was also very clear that the installation is done on the passenger side. I have asked for a set of installation instructions. Hopefully they are forthcoming and we can clear all the install questions up.

Also I received another email a few minutes ago saying all the remaining preorders will ship Monday. Just passing this news along.

Passenger side? The HMI module that it connects to is on the drivers side. For plug and play this is getting beyond ridiculous.

Actually, I gave the exact instructions on the install in another post.

I had an email or two from Vitaliy this AM. Here is the text.

OK, I think I have it now. The grey plug is going into the side of the radio module which is directly under the BCM just under that thick bundle of wire on the left. I pull out the grey plug out of the Radio Module, splice in the Navtool grey plug and then plug the navtool cord grey plug into the side of the Radio Module (under the BCM). Then I snake the grey plug and wires over to the driver’s kick panel and plug it into the Navtool. I then disconnect the blue plug from the HMI and plug the disconnected blue plug into the navtool blue connector and then the 2nd blue plug from the navtool goes back into the empty blue connector on the HMI.

This makes sense now!

So the blue cables get routed to the drivers side for connection to the HMI?

I got this a few minutes ago from Vitaliy:

If you plug in NavTool into HDMI and something goes wrong you will lose your power steering abs brakes and more, simply unplug main plug of HMI and see what happened, so at HMI we interface video only, none of the vehicles vital parts are touched

Is he talking about the blue cables??
