I believe he is saying that the plugs and connections only fit 1 way. If you are trying to make a connection and the plug won't fit, you're doing it wrong and need to find the correct connecting plug!

I've done plenty of electronic installs so I'm not too worried about it. All I really need to know is where to route things. Navtool has not done a very good job of providing clear information of where connections need to go.

And yes I know to not force a plug into where it won't go.

Honestly, when the unit is in-hand, I think the wiring will be obvious. The thing under the BCM was a change from the original connections. Even that looks simple. Small PITA to get the stuff out of the way to get at the Audio unit connection on the passenger side but not too bad.

Looks like I am back on the list. My card just called me said from a message I gave them to the 29th of march. So with that said navtool not willing to refund my $ without a fight. My card co said can take up to 60 days for me to get it back.

Navtool just told me & my card co they had every full time & part time worker in work at over 8 hours per day. That I would have a good tracking number by the 29th. Plus just got a email saying I will have my unit in the mail on the 29th... Just to make it clear I am thinking here I am on the bottom of batch 2 list...

JUST ALSO TO MAKE IT CLEAR NAVTOOL if I get this and it works 100% like you have said I am cool and will tell others how it does & work.... Robert

I seem to recall a forum member, alex4427, who had a unit installed by NAVtool, took pictures and showed it being installed under the glovebox on the passenger side. Perhaps the engineering changed, but shouldn't matter much if it is truly plug and play.

Started out in the driver's side next to the HMI. The navtool never installed on the passenger side. Only recently something was discovered and the connection for the audio box on the passenger side was added to the install.

So a long wire run from the passenger side footwell is now needed to go to the navtool box which will be located in the driver's side footwell.

I'm going to take out my driver kick panel and see how I can install the navtool either behind or on the kick panel inside area.

I still never got an email or tracking number from them. Lol. I think I'm going to call it quits on this thing on Monday. I can live without it.

Looks like they tell you what ever fits for the moment to me. But if he don't have me a tracking # for me to track let see if he can at least live up to what he told my card CO and do a refund on that day. Robert

Default NavTool 3 year warranty for pre-orders

For those lucky SOBs that received their hardware, was there any mention of an extended warranty on your receipt (assuming there was a receipt)?

Vitaliy Sokolov sent an email Feb. 2nd indicating the warranty would be extended to 3 years for pre-orders. I asked him about it and he said, "Warranty extension will be included on the receipt".

Original email below (address redacted).

From: NavTool Vitaliy Sokolov <vitaliy@navtool.com>
Date: February 20, 2016 at 11:26:30 AM PST
To: "---@---.net"
Subject: Free 3 Year Warranty

Hi, thank you for being a part of our pre-order, we want to apologize for the delay in getting you order delivered.

All pre-orders are now upgraded to 3 year warranty.

Thank You

There was no receipt in the box. Now that you mention it - I should probably ask for one. I don't recall getting one when payment was made either. I received the same 3 yr warranty via email from Vitaliy.

What audio box are you referring to? Do you mean the cable that's required to connect your phone for mirroring?

NO!

The audio box is sitting directly under the BCM. The BCM is under the carpet on the passenger foot well. You need to remove a grey plug from the left side of the audio box and splice in the navtool wire. The navtool wire has 2 grey plugs connected with a bunch of green wires and then from the mass of green wires, 4 or 5 come out long enough to come from the BCM area in the passenger foot well over to the driver's foot well and to the kick panel. The driver's kick panel has the HMI. The navtool is going to be located in this area and it will connect to the HMI using 2 blue wires and connectors. The wire from the passenger side audio box will connect to the navtool.

The wire for mirroring is the HDMI cable that you need to connect the navtool via HDMI to your iPhone.

See the harness with the yellow, black, grey and red wires? Those are the camera input lines I believe. I think they are terminated with female RCA plugs.

#1 is the Front Camera plug connection.
