I removed the fish and the Corvette script across the rear. I sprayed around them with WD40 and let it sit for 30 minutes. They literally popped off with no glue residue.
Fishing line and dental floss work but tend to leave the rubbery adhesive which can be a PITA to get off.
I did take mine off right away so they may not have been really stuck down.
I've been thinking of removing my side Stingray badges as well. There isn't one person I know (thats not a car person) that can figure out what it is. Most think its a guitar...

I had someone ask if it was a guitar just this week.
I took mine off; they added clutter to otherwise clean lines. I'd be wary of a heat gun. I used dental floss to cut through the adhesive and then cleaned up the glue with citrus cleaner. Takes a bit of effort - maybe 10 minutes a side - but zero chance of damage!
There are as many ways to remove it. They all work. Just take your time. I personally changed mine from chrome to carbon flash. I like the little logo if it's not sticking out as in shiny, but it is a nice touch in my opinion.
Couldn't agree more. Before/after on the rear of my car attached. Lights obviously ZO6 clears, garnish painted Shark Grey by RPI. Matte black emblem by me.
