Default What type of ground effects should I get with my new orderd 2017 Z06 3LZ vert?

Ordered a new 2017 Z06 3LZ today and can change the order until Thursday when it goes in . Only thing I am confused is the ground effects. My current 2014 Z51 3LT vert does not have any ground effects so I did not know which ones to get. On the Chevy website they show ones that look plastic that come with the car. Are these good enough or do I need the carbon fiber or carbon flash ones which are a $3995 and $2995. I have the base ones ordered any suggestions appreciated . Also why do some Z06'S have no side skirts? Is it a 1LZ thing? Thanks Dave

THIS IS NOT MY CAR BUT THE SAME WAY ORDERED COLOR WISE EXCEPT THIS ONE DOES NOT HAVE ANY SIDE SKIRTS.

Get some aftermarket ones from ACS or C7Carbon, you'll save some money and they look good!

Lol, that's right! I'm not a huge exposed carbon fiber guy, especially on ground effects that take a lot of abuse. I'd go with the painted carbon flash ones myself. They'll match the rest of the trim too.

You get the 3/4 carbon flash side skirts, the plastic Z06 front splitter, and the Stage 1 carbon flash rear spoiler.

P.S. I've never seen the 3/4 side skirts in person. I assume that they are painted carbon flash, but maybe not. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

I like the full length skirts better but I like the stage one smaller spoiler better.

Stage 1 ground effects are all carbon flash except for the front splitter which is naked plastic.

If it were me and money was not an issue I'd get the stage 2 effects as I think it greatly enhances the look of the car. That would get you all carbon flash including the splitter. Aftermarket is a lot cheaper, but in defense of GM stage 2 from them is carbon fiber whereas aftermarket parts generally aren't.

The one drawback to stage 2 is you lose a bit of ground clearance, it really isn't any lower than stage 1 but it sticks out from the front of the car maybe another 1/2" - 1", so you have to be more careful with inclines and speed bumps.

Get the Stage 2 carbon flash painted. They will match the vents and the rear valence.

Same colors as mine, but not a vert. Just don't add any effects that could b damaged by a tow truck. Take that for whatever it's worth.

I am probably in the minority, but I like the looks of all the C7 models without the skirts! (as pictured) If I had one on order I would tell them not to install the 3/4 skirts when the car comes in.

Thanks Gary I am leaning towards the 3/4 skirts only because I like that rear spoiler much better than the upgrade $3000 and $4000 aero packages that have the HUGE AND HUGER REAR SPOILER. I have until Thursday to change any details before order cant be changed.

Yeah Dave....I too, am not crazy about those large rear spoilers on the Stage 2 and 3 ground effects pkgs.
