Corvette base 1lt

My car is a 2LT and I do enjoy the HUD but after tracking my friends 1LT GS, I can't say that I'd have to have anything on the car really. The 1LT is a great bang for the buck. The content of a 1LZ is really nice. You'll notice about a $1000 less difference on a 2LZ than a
2LT(package costs) because the 1LZ is already better equipped.
A 1LT on resale is tough to beat though. My friend has had 3 1LT's since 14' and he fares quite well with them.
Either way you go, there is a perfect vette for you somewhere.

One funny thing about a base/1lt is perceived cost.
I had a guy pull up to me at a light in a Volvo that was a few years old.
He commented "how expensive" my car was.
I was almost certain that his Volvo cost more new than what I paid for my new Corvette.
Heck, a well bought new base/1lt is similar in cost to moderately optioned SUV/pickup--which are way more useful/practical, but not nearly as cool... .

And OnStar, but thats another thread.
But once you start using those extra features, you may find you like them.
At which point, you realize GM marketing knows you better than you thought
I do miss the auto dim mirrors, otherwise, meh.

Tint works well too.

In addition to the auto-dimming function, another benefit is that they adjust only as much as they need to based upon the trailing lighting conditions. Manual ones have just two settings. Sometimes dim (night) is too dim while other times bright (day) is too bright.

I'm looking for a Corvette and see a lot of folks talking about the 2lt being the sweet spot. I do not plan to track the car. It will be a 7 speed. What am I missing if I go with the 1LT over the 2lt. Will my resale value hurt one day. I want a comfortable ride and a backroad crusier. Also the cost differential seems to be high for the 2lt.
Z51 1LT> Non-Z51 2LT
1LT C7> No C7 any trim

As a 1LT owner now for 6 months, coming from a 3LT previous generation here are my thoughts. Seat memory, mine is set as far back as possible do to size, nothing missed. Garage opener on visor, side door pocket great place one of the standard openers. HUD, with the dash displaying digital read out nothing really missing for me. Front camera, would be nice to have, but I back into all spots as we usually go to shows. Heated/Cooled seats nothing here for me. Subwoofer, miss this 2LT feature. I took the 5k savings and made many modifications, which was my plan all along. Mine is now unique styled to my tastes and loving it every single mile. Both trim packages our great products, up to each individual to know the must haves vs. nice to have. Outstanding sports car with any package!!

I cannot answer that question for you. But when I was ordered my '14 I wanted the following on my car: black wheels, MSRC, dual mode exhaust, and a seven speed manual. Those were easy to get since they were individual options. I also wanted HUD and the adjustable seat boltsters. Those two items were only available in the 2LT and 3LT packages. The 2LT package was about $5,000. The HUD and adjustable seat boltsers were not worth $5,000 to me.
The seats in the 1LT fit me perfect and I truly don't miss the HUD.

You're probably going to say, " but still..."
I'm just correcting the figure, nothing more.

I special ordered my 2014 Stingray to keep from adding $20,000 to $25,000 in options I did not care about, and kept the cost to below $55,000 with dealer discount.
I have a red Stingray with manual transmission, 2LT, with red calipers, Z51 spoiler, and I added a stage 1 splitter. OF course, the base price was just $51K back then.

I'll just say this:
- I've seen a LOT of posts on this forum from people who bought under-optioned cars who then come back and want to add features; mostly the PDR and front cameras, sometimes the HUD.
You can live without anything, of course. But if you're into a car for a couple of annual blue collar salaries, you might as well enjoy it. Get the features. I'd honestly rather wait 6 months and then buy the loaded up car. But if those options truly don't matter to you, that's different. I'm talking about if you're unsure - get them.
