Is there a front view camera that I can use with my iPhone.
Thanks
There is a way to hook up a front view camera and have the video show on the NAV screen. You can turn it on manually and it will STAY on until you turn it off. If you back the car and then put it in 1st or D, the camera will automatically come on and stays on until you get to 8 MPH and then it automatically turns off.
You need to purchase a $20 camera and a device called NAVTOOL. You install it your self and it can be done in 3 or 4 hours.
I have it in my 2014 and it works perfectly. It also streams my iPhone to the NAV screen if I want to do that.
Humongous thread that shows the installation and the camera to get. There is also the ability to hook up side cameras that come on with the turn signal. I just use the front camera, the OEM rear and have the capability to stream if I want it.
There is thread on this forum that has complete instructions and product info to install a cheap front camera that works with iPhones and Android phones. The whole system cost about $75 and works really well. Here's the link.

then you enter your passcode, select the APP and then you get the video?
The system needs the phone or a spare phone to view the video?
No way to turn it off and on conveniently?
What would happen if you used the $20 Pyle camera that gives the correct image on the video and has grid line option that is set with a simple wiring option? Did you eventually use a different camera for the wireless system?
The only system that gives the video to the NAV screen and turns on/off automatically is the NAVTOOL. It also can be turned on/off anytime you want by pressing the "Back" button and holding it for 3 or 4 seconds.
The wireless system is cheaper. I'm not seeing any other advantage to the wireless except you don't need to run a wire inside of the cabin.
The wireless system will definitely get video to the driver in the cabin but not on the NAV screen.
