I took mine in for paint also. Mine is the front where the hood and bumper meet. They are being really good and helpful. I thought it was going to be a big hassle but they said they already dealt with a few. I just hope they keep being willing to work with me.
Took GM 5 tries to get mine fixed. Finally had to file LL claim and get lawyer. Fixed and put the new Mylar shims in both front and rear plus nice loss of use check. Spent total always of 140 in shop. I may calm down over 9t in a year or two.

My body shop did exactly that the first time. I gave up on GM to rectify this. Just DUMB and very bad Customer Service, It's a know issue and should be fixed withing the QA program at the factory.

I suggested this to the Chevy dealer after the TSB for it came out. GM would not approve. Funny. After I filed LL and got a lawyer, GM tries to blame dealer. Didn’t work since dealer had documentation that GM would not approve it on mine. Then GM says ‘Oh. It was a mistake’. At least it finally got fixed but what a PIA. GM reimbursed me for having ceramic coating applied 5 times! Nice to have lawyer in family!
Unfortunately GM with the help of it's Corvette dealers they have tarnished the Corvette branding. Also there is no doubt that they have someone monitoring these posts and no one has ever reached out to the owners to at least investigate the issue.
