Default Steering wheel flat bottom?

I have seen flat bottom steering wheel on ZO6 and Z51. Anyone know what package or option this flat bottom wheel comes with? Thanks

LOVE the flat bottom wheel!!
There were THRONGS of people looking at my car at Carlisle and ALL of them commenting and asking to touch/feel the wheel!

To me, its actually the BEST part of this car!
I can't wait to drive it just to put my hands on that wheel!!!!!

All 2016 and up Corvette models have the flat bottom steering wheel standard.

Yep. I think Chevy first went to it on the Camaro and then quickly followed on C7 (2016?). Given that all C7s have power tilt/telescope it's really an affectation, not needed for extra clearance--and something of an annoyance in tight turns, though not a huge one.

The flat bottom wheel is a distraction performing rapid tight turning. I am not thrilled with it. I certainly wouldn't pay extra for one.

But no choice! And I drive with the top of the steering wheel even with the upper dash pad. No need or benefit of a flat bottom with powered tilt. It is a PIA in my opinion to look like a race car.

Sure hope they don't decide to go to a AA/Fuel Dragster butterfly shape! If there was an option for a round wheel, I'd get it!

It should have been an option not mandatory. Glad I got a 2015 with a round wheel

Even most cavemen knew wheels were round! But not all!

GM is just pandering to the Marketing guys who told them that flat-bottom wheels were the latest cool poser car feature......

For all those who don't like their flat bottom wheel, I am quite sure you can find a large number of 14-15 owners who will gladly swap wheels with you.

For me, I like it... it was one of the very first things I changed about my 2014. And yes, I also have my original 2014 round steering wheel (3LT with white/gray stitching) that I will trade anyone who wants to give me their 2016+ flat bottom one.

Our 2017 has the annoying flat bottom wheel and also the optional suede which is nice on the seats but not on the steering wheel, where it feels like I'm fondling a small rodent.

I was under the assumption that it was to make room for the extra girth many older gentlemen get ;-). I don't need it but it looks cool.

have it in my 16, love it, looks great and operates flawlessly, if you are going around a tight turn so fast you can t steer, then you are going to fast i suspect.

Flat bottom steering wheel became standard on 2016 Corvettes. My 2016 has it and I have received several compliments about it. I like it.

It's designed to give you more leg room, which may tell you something about your seat position.

Default I actually paid extra for one!

I have a 2014 Z51 7MT 1LT Conv. and there was a deal (with your trade in) for a factory flat bottomed for less than 200 bucks!

I'm 6'2", a lot of it legs and it really helps avoid knees and I really like the look (paid a lot more for one when I had my '12 GS)

I can't believe all the haters either. Most all modern upper level cars (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani, Koenigsegg, etc) incorporate these flat-bottom steering wheels.

I have a 2014 and was an early adapter when these came out as an after-market item. As a matter of fact, I showed Harlan Charles mine at the NCM Birthday Bash early on (since mine was one of the first on the market). I told him that these should be standard items on ALL Corvettes.

So you might have me to blame.......
