Over the last week I have emailed range questions about 8.4 and have not received an answer. In the past they were quick to respond. I don't believe they have the answers yet.

In the 4-5 months I've been involved with them with this beta program their response is very hit and miss. Sometimes, very quick, others they never respond. Mostly it is slow to never....

Are you still using 8.3? Has there been any improvement over earlier versions? I guess I will just buy 8.4 and use the switch. I was hoping for plug and play

As soon as it threw the code, I pulled it. I don't drive my car daily and am not going to put up with CEL's. I'm in the camp that wants it fixed, I don't want to install a switch. I drive a lot in manual mode so I'm not as concerned but would like to see them fix this so I'll keep putting pressure on that way.

Try it first. If it works reliably just keep using it. No CEL codes are good. I originally got a used one from a forum member. It was version 7.8 I believe. Got a CEL after a while and stuck in 3rd gear. Sent it in for flash update to 8.1 and it has been golden.

gotcha. Funny the ones that say for a Corvette are $188 the others are $134. Same part number. 🤔

I guess that is what is commonly refered to as the Corvette tax.

I decided to go a head and buy version 8.4 I am using it with on off switch. I have to say driving without that constant v8 to v4 stuff is a dream. It actually drives like a normal v8 trans. Sure you can just drive in manual mode and at times I do. Still its nice to have the auto option it you want it. mountainears are you still beta testing for range? It would be nice if they got it together and I could forget the switch

They have yet to respond to the last failures, which is not unusual. Usually I'll report and hear nothing for a long time, then all the sudden I'll hear there is a new one they are shipping me.

Is version 8.4 causing code errors/limp mode/check engine light problems with 2016 base Stingrays?

I would check with range. 16 may be good to go. It seems the 17 has had the problems.

I have been driving with V8.4 for a couple weeks. Have tried starting the car with the Range on to see if it generates a CEL. So far, so good. No CELs. Car drives and tranny shifts fine.
