Convertible Sub Section
I brought my 2015 Convertible into the dealership since I was having HVAC blower problems- turned out that they needed to replace the HVAC Blower Motor Connector.
While it was there- I asked them if there was a software update for the HVAC system.
Have you guys noticed that with the top down- the car will only blow very lukewarm air for the heater- unless you manually set it at "HIGH" which blows out super hot air. There's really no in-between setting.
The manual heat adjustment works fine when the top is up.....e,g, there's a typical range or low, low-medium, medium, medium-high, high heat.
As soon as the top goes down, you can actually hear and feel a change in the way the air is blowing from the motor.
According to the repair notes- "the HVAC system does not use the interior temp sensors with the top down".
Ok, that makes sense for "Auto" climate control mode. But doesn't make sense when manually adjusting the heat.
The HVAC is my biggest gripe about the C7 convertible.

I purchased and provided the 6 screws; however, the dealership refused to perform this work under extended warranty.
Another local dealership confirmed that they also wouldn't do this under warranty.
Has anyone done this themselves? It's tough to find where the screws are located even with the diagram.
I was quoted $200-$320 by the dealerships, which is pretty crazy just to swap out 6 screws. Might be better just to take it to an independent shop that repairs convertible tops

Well, fast-forward to 2019, and it sounds like the software fix hasn't been released yet,
Has anyone noticed this on new convertibles (2018 and 2019 models)?
Try leaving the car parked with the top down and engine running- have the HVAC setting around 80 or 85 degrees- put your hand by the vent- and you will notice the air will blow significantly warmer as soon as the top goes up. You can actually hear some sort of noise in the vent as this happens.
This odd glitch isn't that much of a pain during summer since heat isn't needed, but was hoping to get this fixed by fall or winter.

Yup, I have noticed that also. It is quite a nuisance. Wish they would find a fix.
It was a sticky, then it wasn't. If I recall it was deemed that there wasn't enough traffic on the thread to warrant a sticky. At least that's the way I understand the switch. One of the admins can answer your question much better than me I'm sure.
