Night race blue ( unwashed )

arrival at Bowling Green after 2951 miles of back roads from Victoria. 32 mpg and lots of corn fields. Also lots of parking as I was 4 years early for the caravan

Default Convertible Top Question (Newbie)

I am picking up my first C7 convertible on Saturday. I normally like to wash my car and take it out for a spin right after it’s all cleaned up. I was just reading that your never supposed to put the top down while it’s wet. So question 1. How long does it take the top to dry? In the sun rough time? In the garage rough time? Does this mean you always wash the car the day before you want to cruise top down. Or does this mean you just get good at washing the car without getting the top wet? Any tips on the top since I’m a newbie would be appreciated. Also if your in the Atlanta area which Corvette club do you suggest?

If you are washing your own car, then in this scenario, I would wash the car taking care to not wet the top (any more than possible). Dry as necessary, and put the top down. Wipe off the tonneau.

Drive with the top down and enjoy! Make sure the top is up overnight.

Rinse and repeat!!!

The top dries rather quickly. I blot the excess water on the top and by the time I dry the rest of the car, the top's dry.

Another tip - ALWAYS put the top up overnight or for any time period when parked more than a few hours. A bit of moisture in the fabric will cause it to shrink a little. Over time it can cause real problems, leaks, or even premature wear. Top up it is stretched - helps it keep its shape. If you do wash it or it gets soaked in the rain, let it dry out for at least a few hours with the top up.

Welcome to the convertible club!

Amazing Corvettes. No officers, by-laws, dues or rules other than never bash a member or their ride. Great bunch of people who just enjoy all years of Vettes

It was a spin-off from another club in Atlanta. Bunch of the members got tired of the politics and formality. From 15 or so members in 2014, it now has around 700 spread over a good chunk of the country

Don’t remember if I posted any from back in March when I purchased it. But here is my 2014 3LT Base with auto and a few other options such as suede inserts on the seats and pillars. NPP exhaust. Some of the Stingray add on options. And stage 1 front splitter in Carbon Black. Just 22k miles on it now. Probably be 30k by the end of the year

Same beautiful Kalahari 3LT interior with suede seat inserts as mine. Purchased mine in April. Enjoy it.

Beautiful Green. I like that color a lot. I have had two red and a white corvettes and thought my next would be white too. Then found kalahari interior and never looked back, haha. Getting the kalahari top was just a bonus.

I may have answered out of turn. The two pictures of mine are the LRGM. The 5 pics of the original poster, I’m not sure about the color. The light make it hard to tell.

I think you may be talking about my car just above dyoung striking green car. Mine is Cyber Grey Metallic. I think it may look a bit bronze as the sun was setting on it. It also seems to have a greenish hue to it at times. Here is another picture where the grey is more evident.
