2018 C7 LT2 package, blade silver, red leather, Z51 chrome wheels and red brake calipers. A few more days of above 40 degrees here in Kansas until the end of next week so hope to have some quality time with her.

Would the 18 have been painted in the new paint shop If so how is the orange peel on the rear quarter panels. I may be too early on this ??
It is my understanding that the plant was shut down so that they could update the paint shop. I ordered my 2018 in October after the plant was opened back up. So it should have been built/painted with the new paint shop. I'll let you know if I see any problems with the paint/peeling.

BJ, that is the exact color combo I wanted when we started our search for the perfect C7. But sadly the seats in the 2/3LT caused the wife's nerve damage in her back to act up. However, we were very happy to find the 1LT didn't cause her any trouble.

I'm pretty sure that the only difference in the seats is the option to go with the standard GT Bucket seats, or the optional Competition Sport Bucket seats. The 1LT, 2LT and 3LT trim levels all come standard with the GT style seats, which vary only in the quality of material covering them (Napa or Mulan leather). The Competition Sport Bucket seats have higher and thicker bolsters in both the seat bottom and the seat back, plus they have the openings in the headrest for the straps for a four-point racing harness. Was it the competition seats that caused your wife problems with her back?
Administrator savewave was kind enough to let us try a sub-section for Convertibles/Roadsters/Drop-tops or what ever you want to call them as a sticky for a month to see if their was enough traffic to justify it's existence.
My own experience has been frustrating trying to find info that applies to verts only and having to sift thru hundreds of posts trying to find a owner with a soft top car to chat with. Let's see if we can generate enough posts on here to make it permanent.
I've owned about twenty Vettes and only one was a coupe. When I was looking for my current '14 Z51 3LT M7 MRC roadster, I was flexible on the color but the manual roadster was the only car I considered.
Help me make this work!

Thanks for the idea. I went from a C2 roadster to a C7 coupe over a period of 50 years , both manual, and now I have a 2014 Z51 convertible with an A6. Auto is fine at my age . Still can do 4 second 0 to 60 so don't need any more. I look forward to vert stories
I have seen a lot on this before but never got a straight answer Hopefully some luck now with the convertible section. Does the motion alarm still work with the top down for the life of me I can’t get it to go off if the top is down?

The intrusion alarm is disabled with the top down, and as of now, there is no workaround for the convertible like there is with a wall anchor on the coupe. I don't think anyone has ever found definitively where the sensor is actually located, yet.
As for the motion alarm, I am assuming it is also disabled with the top down. The reason for the assumption is that it stands to reason there is only one sensor that tells the car that the top is secure. Your attempts to make the alarm sound with the top down, along with mine (bouncing the car up and down) bears this out.

BJ, all the cars we drove had the standard seats. The only variable is the heated/ventilated option the 2/3 LT's. I'm guessing the panel under the seat bottom that holds the vent fan must have made just enough difference to cause the problem. But at most that's just a SWAG (scientific wild *** guess).
