In the last three sports cars we tried a coupe once. Coupes are really pretty, but back to a vert for good!

I use Ragg Top that is recommended by the manufacturer of the top who is www.haartz.com/. They make almost all OE tops for all manufactures. Go their website & look at their cleaning instructions.

That's all I use, but my Vert lives in a garage when not being driven. My C6 Vert was nearly 10 years old, and soap and water took care of it just fine.

I rarely wash mine, but when I do, I use Tide. I use a very soft brush that is dedicated to ONLY this use.

Anyone routinely put the top down with the FOB? I've tried several times without success. Pilot error?

Need to push the button to open the doors first then the top down button.

>unlock
>top down

The key is holding the button down. It will appear to stall halfway through (a couple seconds delay) and then finish lowering. DO NOT release the button or you will have to hit unlock and top down again.

The range is also further if you put the top down before remote starting. Make sure you have an uninterrupted sight line the for the whole time (no people or cars passing between you and car, and if walking towards it, no light standards or trees between you and the car).

I found that it would pretty often quit half-way, even when I thought I was holding the button down. Then I installed the Smarttop from Mods4Cars, and have had no problem since. With this addition you hold the unlock for a few seconds until you see motion then you can release. Other benefits include being able to raise (close) the top too with the remote. Pretty addicting--exit the car and put the top and windows up as you walk away. Personally, my favorite mod to date.

I routinely hit the unlock button twice, then press and hold the top down button. If it stops midway, I hit the unlock button two more times, then press and hold the top down button to finish lowering the top and it works like a charm. Whether or not pressing the unlock button twice is necessary is certainly questionable.

I like the idea of a convert topic as I recently purchased our first rag top.

Welcome to the forum 3Rivers. She's a beauty for sure. We've had convertibles for years, and wouldn't think of going back to a coupe.
