Thinking of adding a Wind Restrictor. They are doing free installations at the Bash next week. For anyone who has one, are you pleased with the design and effectiveness? Does it really help reduce wind noise for enjoying the radio and conversation? Any cons? Is it an issue leaving in place all of the time?
I purchased a piece of 2 ft by 4 ft lexan from home depot and started by making a large wind deflector and then went for a test drive to test effectiveness. After several smaller and smaller iterations I found optimal size you could leave in the car and still raise/lower the top was about oem size and it was a marginal improvement over nothing at all. If you drive with top down, side windows up then you notice a slight improvement in cabin wind reduction. If you drive with top down, side windows down you can hardly tell the difference. I threw away my home made deflector as it didn't improve things enough to in my opinion vs the hassle of having one.

Thanks for the information, it only confirmed my decision not to install one. I can have a bluetooth call on the road at 80mph and hear music just fine

That is one fantastic color and the first C7 I ever got up close to and had a talk with the owner. That interior with the tan top really sets the Lime Rock Metallic off beautifully. Good luck and enjoy that gorgeous Vette.👍
I just purchased this 2014 Z51 about a month ago. I didn’t even realize it came with a cargo net as I didn’t get one with the car. How does it attach?
If you are looking to buy one, buy one for a C6. It is deeper than the one for a C7. The loops on the end of the net just loop over the T hooks on either side of the rear of the trunk.
Any convertible owners found a decent trunk storage unit? My searches only come up with units for non convertibles.
Cardboard is my favorite material for a container. Lightweight, no sharp edges, can ram a bigger item inside or beside without damage to either, has some inherent grip to prevent sliding. In about 6 years when it eventually wears out I can replace it with another one for free.

Sometime the simplest things will work. Good idea.
This may be a stupid question but how many of you put their roof back up at night during warm weather/garage kept?
Not a stupid question at all...the advise I got during two trips to BG to watch my cars being built was to always cycle it even if just overnight. Always store it up I've been told. FWIW.
I agree its probably best to keep it up and tight. Even though on other cars Ive left the top down for weeks at a time. The wrinkles eventually smooth themselves out.
