Always close it after a cruise. Keeps interior dust free when parked.I'm going on my 3rd season with all my kinks.
A very Kinky Top.Dealer said it's acceptable at GM Standards.
Not really chancing more Misery if not replaced right

Gonna leave it out in the Hot Sun Closed.Maybe a lil heat will reduce the Kinky?
Found this Trunk storage in my favorite place to by Corvette Swag.Great customer service.
Dimensions are provided in photo

Link provided:Maybe to large for vert?Gonna have to measure to be sure.

A few wrinkles is the price of admission, folks!

I store mine with the top down in the garage most of the time.

Never, ever store it overnight if it was washed, sprinkled on, or any other moisture on the top.

This mantra has served me well for 350,000 Corvette miles.

Don't own a vert currently, but had a '97 Mustang Cobra convertible and a '99 C5 vert. I was always told to store the car with the top up to reduce creasing. As aforementioned, I was also told to never leave the top down if it was wet or damp. My mother had a C5 vert too and would leave the top down nearly all spring summer and it had no ill effects... I'd power wash it once a year (using common sense) and it looked nearly new, but it was light oak so any creasing was far less visible than with a black top.

I just bought a 2014 Stingray 3LT/Z51 Manual Convertible. My first soft top of any kind. I park outdoor at work. Is it a problem to have the car sit outside if it happens to rain on and off during the day? Or do most of you leave it home if there is a chance of rain? It will be garaged at night. How waterproof are these tops? How long do they take to dry? Any special care required?

These tops are very waterproof, and there is no problem leaving them outside in the rain, whatsoever.

The main concern it to make sure if the top got wet in ANY way, or even damp, is to make sure it is up overnight. If it didn't get damp or wet, there is no problem leaving it down in your own garage.

I'm visiting my daughter in Austin, and it has been raining off and on all week, but leaving it outside is not an issue. won't hurt it one bit.

I almost never wash with water but I ran in to an occasion last year where car was muddy and I didnt have time to wash it slowly by hand so reluctantly ran it through a high pressure touch free car wash. Didnt leak a drop so there no way it going to rain in.

Nice car. I like the wheels. Would like to eventually change the black wheels on mine to chrome. Just purchased it so maybe down the road. Good info on top. I’m really impressed with its quality.

I ordered my 2014 Lime Rock Green convertible and did the NCM delivery in June 2014. Part of the museum delivery option was a behind the scenes, on the manufacturing floor tour of the assembly plant. Each Corvette is water tested when it comes off the end of the line. The tech drives it into a spray booth and the car gets hit with high pressure water. The tech stays in the car with a flashlight during the test. If a leak is found, the car is put on QA hold and the leak addressed. My convertible top has never leaked and we’ve been in some pretty nasty thunderstorms. The reason for putting the top fully when it gets wet is it can mildew if it’s wet and down in the trunk well.

Good question actually - Always put your top back up after driving as helps protect and keep both top and interior damage free.

Default Month-Long Road Trip

Preparing for a month-long road trip to Ron Fellows, Las Vegas, and up the California coast. Looking forward to taking photos with the top down, when possible. Not sure we have learned to pack for that long with the ability to still put the top down, but I'm sure there will be chances. Did a month long trip out east last fall in a coupe and had no problems. Any long road trip tips in a Vert?

That sounds like a blast... I would 100% pack with the top down and then figure it out.

Nice looking tree lined street. I always thought Kansas looked like Wizard of OZ, flat and dusty
