I also asked the dealership to perform Service Bulletin 17-NA-278 since my top was making a tapping noise while up. https://www.corvetteactioncenter.com...ving-1381.html
I purchased and provided the 6 screws; however, the dealership refused to perform this work under extended warranty.
Another local dealership confirmed that they also wouldn't do this under warranty.
Has anyone done this themselves? It's tough to find where the screws are located even with the diagram.
I was quoted $200-$320 by the dealerships, which is pretty crazy just to swap out 6 screws. Might be better just to take it to an independent shop that repairs convertible tops
.
Thanks for this. ^^^^
Mines still under 36/36 factory warranty.
I'm getting the plastic "clicking" sound on any unsmooth road surface encountered when top is Up too.
The sound is emanating from the middle top just behind my seat backs.
I'll definitely get mine in for analysis of thus clicking.

Figured this is the section on verts so post here to.
Just checked out last nite.Jay Leno Report on the C8 vert version.May 2 cents opinion your may differ. Not really impressed enough to give up the clean rear of a C7.Really like the so called Interior Cockpit and the Screen layout.Leno was impressed. He was also impressed with the C7.
That Hardtop vert has 6 motors operating that contraption.Really is a great design how the engine heat won't effect any of the inside finish trim on the top.Top being hard or soft doesn't matter, cause it is open 97% off the time.GM Did right making the top hard cause of the design of the car.
Verts were quieter than coupes when top was up on the 7.Maybe even more on the 8 with the engine behind you? The buffering of air in the c7 is bare minimal.Yet some complain about adding a windscreen behind you and between the seats. Now that looks, retarded.Sorry it does. The C8 design has a up and down window instead.Pretty trick their. If you care about the hair?If it even does anything?
Liking my 7 Combo. to much. The hit money wise I would take to switch isn't worth the so few gains that I like. That rear is a total different animal on the liking.
The front remind me of the stealth fighter jet especially how the bottom of the hood is cut.Happy with being in SEVEN HEAVEN
Would you consider moving up from C7 to Forum and including C6? I have a 2012 Grand Sport and would definitely use a convertible sub-section if I was included.
