My 2017 convertible top is clicking, and it doesn't take too much to get it to click a bit.
The Chev. Tech said he couldn't hear it on driving my car.
I'm going to do a ride along with the service manager and show him the clicking.
There was a post a member here posted on C7 convertibles - with the clamp, or brace as I remember with 6 screws that was a advisory from Chevrolet. That's what I was looking for. I'm going in tomorrow to the dealership.

Let us know what your dealership says. I went to 3 different local dealers.....none of them were helpful. I even purchased the screws and handed them a print-out of the TSB, yet they all claimed they had ZERO experience doing this repair.
They also wanted to charge 2 to 4 hours of labor- even though the TSB states 0.6 hour of labor.

Took the service manager for a 4 mile ride. Nothing but virtually smooth, new concrete. No clicking. He said the technician 'might' have applied some WD-40. He did, the tech applied it to the windshield fasteners. Overspray on the windshield. Drove home, and my PDR gathered clicking that sounded like a telegraph sending unit clicking. I've got it on the video. It's going back. I'll do a sit down with the service manager reviewing the Chevrolet TSB, you provided.
What was the difference? The top heated up AS STATED IN THE TSB. Why must these Chevrolet dealer service people be drug along to fix your car??

A lot of the regular service technicians just don't want to deal with convertible top issues. At the largest Chevy dealership in town (they sell at least 200 C7 Vettes a year)- they only had a trim/convertible top specialist that works 1 day a week to look at issues like this.
Even with the TSB, they had no idea what the cost would be.....and estimated 2-3 hours minimum. It seems simple to swap out just a few screws, but a few of the screws are tough to reach.
Tightening the existing screws + WD40 should help fix your problem.
Seat heat and hooded sweatshirts are starting to be the norm in the Northeast USA
Looks Cold there with those frozen roads.Had to look up your location.The front plate didn't help.Others that didn't know..here ya go https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrol

I just bought a 2014 Z51 Stingray Convertible and always drive w/the top down. Only put the top up for "security" when parked.
Is this just a problem w/2017 or all C7s and is this the ticking heard w/the top up or down (assume up) ?

Scroll Up to Post #1539 for TSB Link. It's like pulling teeth to get the Chevrolet dealer to move on this. I'm hoping to get it done before my warranty expires!

i hear something from mine every once in a while (not had this car long anyway) but that's about it. to me, noises from the rear on a vert are no big deal, because uh, duh, there's lots of linkage, joints, parts, springs, all manner of clockwork back there. meanwhile on my stingray coupe, anytime i heard noises from the rear i was instantly and justifiably irritated =D
its one of the few times you can just chalk it up to the nature of this beast and not sweat it, IMO. i did download a pdf of that bulletin referenced above (complete with pics) though, i had to get it from here;
