Just bought my first Vette. It's Midnight Race Blue with Blue Top and Kalahari Interior. One owner car with 15K miles.
It has not been above 40 since I bought it last month, so she is waiting patiently to get out for her first real drive. Only miles I have put on so far are quick hops to get an inspection sticker on a sunny 20 degree day and the initial test drive was done at 12 degrees....... First turn I took was full blown tire hop... freaked me out.
Have already learned quite a bit about the C7's from this forum and you tube.
I'll post some more pics once It warms up and I get her out.
Congradulations! I tried to pick up one very similiar a few years ago in that same color but it got sold. One of my favorites. Enjoy the ride and watch that wheel hopping!
I went out for a drive yesterday with the top down and a light jacket, on the Freeway to Anaheim. I hit an area that was 42 F and it was a might cold. The heater could not keep up with it.
I looked for about a year and a half for this specific combination. Saw many with Black or Kalahari roof..... Live just north of Boston, bought the car in NJ. Had her shipped up in an enclosed carrier.
So looking forward to getting her out on some back country roads as well as I95!!
Dropped the top today for the first real drive of the season. Bought her at the end of Jan and she's been sitting in the garage with a full belly of 93 Octane just waiting for this day. First day above 50 here in the Boston area
What do folks use to clean and then protect the tops on your vert?s?
Hello All,
What do you use to clean your tops when needed and what do you seal with afterwards?
I've used 303 Fabric Guard and Cleaner on previous drop tops I've owned (Saab, Chrysler Sebring).
I've got a Midnight Race Blue Z51 3LT A6 with a Blue Top. All my other tops were black, so it was hard to judge the cleaning power of 303. The Fabric Guard works great......
